Technical Description

Harmony/Symphony - Setup of IIT13 based on FPGA and firmware revisions

Products Concerned: INIIT13

Description: The setup of the INIIT13 module is dependent on the revision of FPGA and firmware
installed on the INIIT13

- The FPGA is in chip U26. It will have a small label on it with a 4 digit number. The
numbers that could be on that label are:
E19B, BF19, 9D49, or EC8E

- The firmware can be read using the Composer Inspect utility.

Firmware chips in position U24 and U25 also have a label indicating the revision,
however, the firmware on the INIIT13 is flashable so there is no guarantee that the label
on these chips reflects the current firmware revision. The Composer Inspect utility will
give the actual revision running in the module.

- The switch settings involved are the cache enables, SW4 , poles 6, 7, and 8

The supported combinations are listed in Table 1.

Table 1

FPGA rev Firmware revision Switch settings

E19B C_0 SW4, 6,7,8 = 0,0,0 or 1,1,1
E19B C_1, C_2 SW4 6,7,8 = 1,1,1
BF19, 9D49, EC8E C_1, C_2 SW4 6,7,8 = 1,1,1
