Kia India is the fastest automaker to reach sales milestone of one, two and three lakh domestic
sales. The company recently registered a cumulative sales (domestic and export) figure of 5 lakh
units. Kia has a market share of about 6 percent in just 2.5 years and is among the top 5

automakers of India sales wise.

GROWTH TREND FINDINGS-


South Korea’s Kia Motors will increase production in India by a third to 400,000 units
by the end of 2022, its India managing director told ET.
The Seoul-headquartered company had said in an investors call earlier that backorder
in India is increasing despite efforts to maximise production. At the end of March 2022,
the order book was 127,000 units, led by the newly launched Carens MPV. It was
82,000 in December 2021.
