ARCHITECTURAL
GENERAL NOTES
1.0 ALL CONSTRUCTION & FABRICATION SHALL COMPLY
WITH THE CURRENT BUILDING CODES, ORDINANCES,
STATUES AND ALL OTHER APPLICABLE CODES WHICH
GOVERN THE SITE FOR WHICH THESE DRAWINGS PERTAIN.

2.0 ALL DIMENSIONS ARE MEASURED TO GRID LINE, FACE


OF MASONRY OR FACE FINISH WALL UNLESS OTHERWISE
NOTED. ALL WRITTEN DIMENSIONS SHALL HAVE
PRECEDENCE OVER SCALING OF THE DRAWINGS.
DRAWINGS SHOULD NOT BE SCALED, IF MORE
DIMENSIONS ARE REQUIRED, NOTIFY THE AUTHOR AT
ONCE. ALL DIMENSIONS SHALL BE NOTIFIED OF ANY
ERRORS OR DIMENSIONS REQUIRING CORRECTION
BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH WORKS.

3.0 CONTRACTOR SHALL INVESTIGATE, VERIFY AND BE


RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL CONDITIONS & DIMENSIONS ON
THE FIXTURES AND SHALL NOTIFY THE AUTHOR IN A FORM
OF REQUEST FOR INFORMATION "RFI" ABOUT ANY
CONDITION ARISING FROM THIS INVESTIGATION THAT
REQUIRES MODIFICATION OR CHANGE BEFORE
PROCEEDING WITH WORKS.

4.0 THE GENERAL CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE


FOR PROVIDING ALL NECESSARY BLOCKING, BACKING,
FRAMING, HANGERS, OR ANY OTHER SUPPORTS FOR ALL
FIXTURE EQUIPMENT AND ALL ITEMS WHICH REQUIRE THE
SAME.

5.0 CUT OUT PATTERNS / OR TEMPLATES SHALL BE


P E R S P E C T I V E PROVIDED BY THE SPECIALTY SUBCONTRACTOR OR
SUPPLIER TO THE MILLWORK/JOINTERY CONTRACTOR
AND /OR GENERAL CONTRACTOR FOR ALL ITEMS WHICH
SCALE: NTS REQUIRE COORDINATION OF EQUIPMENT INTO BUILT-IN
FIXTURES.

6.0 COORDINATE WITH THE ARCHITECT THROUGH THE


CONSTRUCTION MANAGER FOR ANY DISCREPANCIES
FOUND IN ALL DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS BEFORE
EXECUTION OF WORK.

7.0 COORDINATE WITH OTHER TRADES TO AVOID


CONFLICT PRIOR FOR FINAL IMPLEMENTATION OF WORK.

8.0 OTHER MATERIALS NOT MENTIONED IN ALL


CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS (DRAWINGS AND
SPECIFICATIONS) BUT ARE NECESSARY FOR THE PROPER
COMPLETION OF THE WORK MUST BE FURNISHED AND
EXECUTED BY THE CONTRACTOR ENTAILING NO
ADDITIONAL COST INVOLVED IN PART OF THE OWNER.

9.0 VERIFY ACTUAL CONDITIONS AND DIMENSIONS IN THE


FIELD OF WORK AND FIT DETAIL ACCORDINGLY. SUBMIT
SHOP DRAWINGS FOR ARCHITECTS FINAL APPROVAL
PRIOR FOR FINAL EXECUTION/AND IMPLEMENTATION OF
THE WORK.

NOTE :WRITTEN DIMENSIONS ON THESE DRAWINGS SHALL


HAVE PRECEDENCE OVER SCALED DIMENSIONS.
CONTRACTORS SHALL VERIFY AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
ALL DIMENSIONS AND CONDITIONS ON THE JOB. THE
DESIGNER MUST BE NOTIFIED IMMEDIATELY OF ANY
VARIATIONS FROM THE DIMENSIONS AND CONDITIONS
SHOWN BY THESE DRAWINGS.
NOTE :ANY DISCREPANCY ON ALL DRAWINGS &
SPECIFICATIONS (ARCHITECTURAL, STRUCTURAL,
SANITARY, ELECTRICAL,MECHANICAL ETC.) SHALL BE
