PROPOSAL FOR : FUNDRAISING EVENT

Project Name : Charity Fun Run

Date of Event : 26th December 2021

Proposed Venue : Sport Complex, IIUM Kuantan Campus

Project Management : Sport Bureau Dental Student Society (DENSS)

Masyarakat Masyarakat Negeri Pahang

1.0 Purpose

The purpose of this document is to provide a brief overview of the plan to


stage a fundraising event in the form of a “Charity Fun Run”. In line with the
aim of Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Negeri Pahang which seeks for more
involvement of people in this kind of charity program and to promote their
organization as the place for people to refer regarding any welfare issue.

2.0 Strategic Objective

The main objective of this event is to help raise money for orphan and
vulnerable children, women and youth in the community as well as ease
their burdens. In addition, from this event we also want to encourage
people to stay active and practice a healthy lifestyle for the betterment of
one’s life. Further to ensure that we educate our community at large about
work done by Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat Negeri Pahang in promoting
societal interest and awareness on social welfare.
3.0 Discussion (Objectives)

In order to reach the above mentioned objectives, we have planned an event


which will gather people from any background to run for 5km on that day.
The partakers will need to pay RM50 as the registration fee and they will be
provided with a T-shirt and certificate each. Also, there will be few stalls for
the participants to buy food and beverages along with some souvenirs. The
registration fees and sales profit will be donated fully to the orphan and
vulnerable children, women and youth in the community. Not only the food
and souvenirs, we will also invite NGOs to showcase and promote their
organization. There will be a lot of exhibition booths for the participants to
visit aside from just running on that day.

All of IIUM students, lecturers, staffs and the public

8.00 am : Run start
11.15 am : Lucky draw announcement
11.30 am : Prize-giving ceremony
12.30 am : Disperse

6.0 Publicity

We will be using social media as a medium to inform public and students


about the event

7.0 Other benefits

Different NGOs invited will be able to showcase and sell their merchandise
on the day of the events

10. Conclusion
