Integrated SLT/YAG Platform

Quantel Medical’s cutting edge laser technology has brought constant and multiple innovations to
ophthalmologists worldwide since 1993.
Optimis Fusion combines traditional YAG photodisruption treatments and advanced SLT photo-
regenaration therapy in one integrated platform.

Optimis Fusion from Quantel

The Next Generation of SLT/YAG Technology
Quantel’s proprietary technology is based on an engineering breakthrough,
which enables infrared and visible green nanosecond pulses to be produced by
a single dual-mode cavity reducing complexity and resulting in a more elegant,
advanced combination laser platform.

Premium Optics
• Optimized for viewing the anterior
and posterior segment
• Convergent optical path
• Blue-free illumination for improved
visibility

New, Advanced Technology

• Highly efficient, powerful and
reliable
• Dual-mode laser cavity:
Optimized to produce two
wavelengths from one cavity

New, Advanced Design

• Integrated Platform
• Easy switch from SLT to YAG mode
• Small footprint for two powerful
technologies
SLT Mode Gentle Laser Delivery

No Thermal Damage. Repeatable.

Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT) targets

melanin rich cells which absorb the laser
energy to induce a healing response that
begins to restore the function of the trabecular
meshwork.

The laser energy is delivered in short, fixed

pulses over a large, homogeneous spot size,
resulting in no thermal damage. Due to the
gentle delivery and no permanent destruction
to the trabecular meshwork, SLT leaves the
structures intact and can be repeated if necessary.

YAG Mode Precise and Powerful

The YAG mode delivers high-performance photo-

disruption for capsulotomy and peripheral
iridotomy. The gaussian laser beam profile allows
for precise delivery, only requiring minimum energy
levels, which avoids side effects such as lens
pitting.

Precise tissue targeting is achieved with the

advanced two-point aiming beam, allowing for
fast and accurate targeting of the capsule; and
the adjustable anterior and posterior offset
feature, allowing for easy focus adjustment in
front, behind or at the point of disruption.
