Robinson was born in a family of 7 he was the youngest of 5 children but Jackie was raised by his mother Mallie Robinson but his mother had money to support them but she didn’t have enough money to afford the basic things they needed. Jackie attended John Muir in Pasadena, California But then Attended Pasadena Junior College Where He was an amazing athlete he played 4 sports Football, Basketball, Track and Baseball, Jackie was named the regions most valuable player in baseball in 1938. But Jackie continued his education at UCLA where he became the university’s first student to receive and win varsity letters in 4 sports. But Jackie also served in the U.S Army from 1942 to 1944 Jackie served as a second lieutenant for the U.S. He never saw Violence. After Jackie got released from the Army, Robinson started playing Baseball professionally But at that time the sport was segregated and Blacks and whites played in separate leagues. But Jackie then joined the Dodgers in 1947 and Jackie was named Rookie of the year and National League MVP in 1949 and a World Series Champ in 1955. But also Jackie broke the color barrier and Jackie will be remembered as the first black baseball player to play in the American Major Leagues.
