related products- Surface roughness characteristics of blast cleaned steel
substrates. Part 1-5
SSPC Specification (Steel Structures Painting Council)
All painting materials shall be delivered to shop by the paint manufacture’s in unopened original containers
and in good condition. Product name, batch numbers and all other salient information (manufacture’s
name, color etc.) shall be mentioned on the original containers.

specification visual comparators, prior to painting.
The DFT of each coat shall be checked in accordance with this procedure using DFT gauge that has been
properly calibrated.
Inspection of coating materials upon receipt of materials.
Verification that shelf life of coating materials has not been exceeded.
Verification of that storage conditions for the materials are properly maintained.
Confirmation of surface preparation and application of painting work in proper specified atmospheric
conditions (temperature, humidity and etc.).
Verification of correct mixing of painting materials.
Verification that primer coating materials is continuously agitated.
Verification that “pot life” is not exceeded.
Verification that coating is cured as specified in the painting material manufacturer’s instruction.
