General Scenario: Business Scenario

 GOIL purchases products from vendors and


delivers products to customers.
 The company processes purchases and
deliveries itself.
 You commission external service agents to
ship the materials, but you are responsible
for organization and execution.
 So the materials can be shipped as efficiently
as possible, you combine purchases, deliveries,
and transfers for which the points of departure,
in-transit locations and destinations match.
 GOIL calculates and settles shipment costs
with the various service agents after the bulk
shipment has been fully processed.

 A bulk shipment combines inbound and outbound deliveries, and transfers with the matching points
of departure, in-transit storage locations, and destinations.
 Effective transportation processing is required so that materials are shipped and received as
scheduled.
 The R/3 bulk transportation component allows you to keep track of in-transit stock during a specific
transportation run.
