    Two men consumed by death in a contemporary world; John Becker,


    the investigator who left the FBI because he was too good at his job—he
    could think like a killer. But he enjoyed the thrill of the hunt too much. Roger
    Dyce, the serial killer whose twisted crimes would lure Becker back to his old
    profession, but this time, Becker is closer to his prey than ever before—close
    enough to kill.

    research interest. Because the book falls under the category of a crime
    thriller, where particular FBI procedures and vocabulary have to be clarified
    for some readers, defamiliarization is crucial throughout the entire narrative.
    Furthermore, it offers further details on the characteristics of Paraphilia and
    the psychology that underlies it. It's an intriguing fusion of psychology and
    crime portrayed in literary art-inspired styles.
