The Theoretical framework for this study was the diffusion of innovation theory as first

presented by Rogers in 1962. Rogers explained how innovation is communicated through

specific channels over time to members of a social system. The four components of the

diffusion of the innovation process are the social system, innovation, communication channels,

and time. And according to Choi in 2002 suggested the process of diffusion innovation starts

slowly and over time begins to accelerate positive communication.

2.) What is most important factor that impact on consumers purchase intention in online
shopping?

3.) Why most of the seller prefer to open a business in online?

Significance of the study

The findings of this study might be valuable to conduct businesses by posting pictures or
videos to be a online seller using Facebook and providing information demonstrating the
potential importance of online marketing. The results from this study reveal successful online
marketing strategies that could be used to aid in purchasing decisions and the creation of
relationships between small retail businesses and consumers. Researchers have discovered
business leaders who create an online presence can benefit from free media, continue to
generate sales, and improve local economies.
Scope and delimitation

This study aims to identify the advantages of using Facebook as a business platform for
online networking. The research study will be administered at City of Malolos Integrated School
Sto. Rosario. Grade 12 ABM student of the said school will be the sample respondents in the
research study. Since the study uses a descriptive as the research design, a structured survey
questionnaire will be use as the data collection method. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19
pandemic and the crisis it gives to us, unfortunately, the sample respondents will be limited to
selected few students that have established online business that use Facebook as the primary
means of their ventures. The scope will also cover how they take advantage and exploid the
crisis of COVID-19 pandemic to their advantage.

Definition of Terms

In order to ensure a common understanding to the research, the terms use in the study
are conceptually, operationally and functionally defined as follows:

Facebook - a popular free social networking website that allows registered users to create
profiles, upload photos and video, send messages and keep in touch with friends, family and
colleagues. This can be a powerful way to communicate with customers and potential
customers, allowing them to see your product or service without having to visit your premises.
This makes it one of the best sources to stay updated with the latest news and information.
Online networking - the process of expanding and developing your network of social and
business relationships through online communication channels, especially social media
platforms and its more convenient. Rather than spend time traveling to conferences, you can
stay at home and make the same connections. It might be the first to be informed about a new
position or it may even be specifically approached to participate in a project.
