Section 1 -Create an Account at Udaan

Translation web interface
To create your account for Book/Document Translation in a seamless manner.
Only for Eng - Hindi Click https://udaaniitb2.aicte-india.org/udaan
For Creating new user account click on Create Account
Fill Sign Up form and in email use gmail id
udaanprojectiitb@gmail.com
After filling out the signup form you will receive the account activation link to the mail ID you
provided. Click on the link to activate your account. After activation you can login to perform
OCR and Translation as shown below:
Sign In to the Udaan translation tool as shown below:
After Signing in, in order to create translation perform the following steps:
1. Choose PDF or DOC File and click on Upload

2. Select Source Language
3. Select Target Language
4. Document Name - Provide a suitable name in this field
5. Select Dictionaries which you want to add to your translated set. Select ‘None’ if no
dictionaries are to be used.
6. If you select the ‘Sentence Along with the English Source’ option, then ’Dictionary
words that appear in the translation will have their source English word in brackets.
7. Click on Convert button below.
Note-:
1. PDF or DOC file size to be uploaded should be less than 1024 MB.
2. PDF or DOC name shouldn't contain any white spaces.
3. Document name should be greater than 5 characters.
4. First upload the PDF or DOC file, then enter other fields for OCR or Translation.
5. Your document will be added to the queue once you click the Convert button,
and you will receive an email once the OCR or Translation is completed.
6. Large PDFs or DOCs will take hours to complete the OCR or Translation, so
please be patient!
After the translation file is created, click on the preview button to view the translated file.
Also, a translation set will be generated for which you will receive an email invitation.
In order to download the translated project zip file, Click on download zip file option as shown:
Apart from that, you can also download zip file via the link provided in the received email
Section 2 - Create an Account at Udaan Post

Go to https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1zUhvsan77Yj63JAINxOS46826-VMD3Vp
and right click on file “*.zip” then click download.
You might see “Unable to scan the file for viruses”, click the “Download anyway” button.
If you see the message at bottom left saying “can’t download this file, try enabling third party
cookies for drive” as following:
Go to top right corner and click on eye symbol:
Click site not working? Button, then click the Allow cookies button. You can now right click
on the file again and click the download button. After the download is finished, you might see
an option “send file for scan”, click that.
At the end you might see the above warning, click the arrow up symbol(^) and then “open
now”.
Now go to downloads, and extract the downloaded zip file to any location of your choice.
Open the folder and double click the qpadfinal file, the application will be launched.
If this error come download and install both software
● Download and Install both software.

When the application starts, you will see the following pop up menu:
Select your role(You can select Corrector if you are editor). To set your role as default, you
can check the checkbox “Set Selected Role As Default”.
Enter your email and password, click the login button if you want to login or cancel if you
don't want to login. You can click the checkbox “Do not ask again” to stop this pop up
appearing again even if you don’t want to login. (You need to enter the credentials of the
account created in step 1 - There is no need to create a separate account here.)
If you want to login at any time, you can go to Settings > Login.
You can use features like cloud save, cloud sync, project dashboard, importing project within
tool only after logging in. You can logout at any time from Setting > Logout option.
After opening tool click on File-> Import Project
You will see the project list, enter the project id, and click “Import Project” button to import
any project from displayed list.
To open the set, click “File > Open Project” and go to the project location and select “project”
file and click “open”. You will see the following success message.
Click “ok” and go to the left tree view and click on any page under the corrector output as
shown below.
On clicking any page, the page will open in the text browser as shown below:.
You can go to the “File > Recent Project” option to open recently viewed projects.
