Preparat 1. Before entering in the classroom, students must:

Ask: Based from the pictures presented what do you think is our lesson for today?
Students: Our lesson for today is about the basic problems in our country. (Correct)
Activity
Proper: Discussion (Power Point Presentation)
Ask: What can you say about unemployment in the Philippines? Is there many unemployed in your
community? What could be the possible reason for that?
Ask: Supposing that NORSU-BSC has a total of 500 graduates and out of that graduates, only 50% are
employed. Therefore, how many are unemployed? (Numeracy/Math) Imagine how many people are
struggling to find a job to support his/her family.
2. POVERTY - refers to the state or condition in which people do not have the minimum standard of
life deemed accepted by the society
Ask : What is poverty in our own dialect? Can you give example or situation that shows poverty based
from what you have observed from community.
Students : kapobrehon,. Beggar, malnourished children etc.
Ask: Why does poverty still exist? Is poverty still an issue here in our country?
3. CLIMATE CHANGE - is any significant long-term change in the expected patterns of average
weather of a region (or the whole Earth) over a significant period of time.
Ask: What is the impact of this climate change to our farmers? Fishermen?
Ask : What will happen to our mother earth if we lose millions of trees in a year?
Students :We will experience calamities such as landslide, floods and others.
Ask : Why are these trees very important? Can you enumerate its importance or its advantages to our
mother earth? (Science)
Students : oxygen, foods, trees prevent landslides
4. CORRUPTION - refers to dishonest or fraudulent behavior by people with power such as managers
Ask : How many politicians you knew were charged against corruption based from what you have heard
from the news or what you have seen in the television?
Students : Gloria Macapagal, Napoles, Jinggoy Estrada, Bong Revilla etc.
5. POPULATION – is the number of living people that live together in the same place.
Additional Input: COVID-19 PANDEMIC - The biggest problem that the world is facing today is the covid
19 pandemic. Because of this, many business establishments are closed which resulted to loss of jobs,
many have died because of the virus. There is a decrease in the economy but this pandemic also brought
advantages such as we learn to appreciate nature, we became plantitos and plantitas, we learn to value
our health, we have much time for our family and others. Wearing facemask has been part of our
lifestyle. We try to adopt the new normal.

Abstract Economic problems arise from the fact that human wants are unlimited relative to the limited resources to
ion: satisfy them. Faced with scarcity, we must make choices-we must choose among the available
alternatives. If all of us know how to use our resources wisely and if only all of our leaders are honest
people these problems may lessen. And remember self-discipline is very important.(values integration)
