1. What technology do you often use as part of your everyday lifestyle?

Technology has changed the way we live in many ways, it enhances the way we live,
study, work, play and even purchase and such. I used my phone and my laptop every day. For
communication, education, entertainment and most importantly for business. Having a laptop
helped me do my school task easily, I don’t have to go to a computer shop and rent there just to
do it, because I can make it now at home with the help laptop. It also helped me to participate
easily in online class. I can now study and listen to my teacher while at home, and while doing
household chores. Having an MS Word in my laptop also helped me in taking down an important
notes. I didn’t have to write in on a paper and just typed it in the MS word. While on the other
hand, my phone also helps me to work on my small business. I have an online shop on Facebook
and I always used my phone to check if there’s a customer that’s interested to buy my product. I
also used it in taking pictures of my product, editing it and uploading it on social media. I can’t
do such things without my phone. Technology is now already part of our lives because it helps us
in many ways, and it can change our way of living. It can also be the reason to have an income
especially now that there is a pandemic, and we need income for every day. There’s also an
effect on too much usage of gadgets so it depends on us on how we used it. It is very obvious
that we can’t live without technology because we are born having all of this already especially
our generation now so it will be really hard to adjust without it.

2. Do you agree that people of today’s generation would likely to have an instant of everything?

I agree, today’s generation born having access in technology. Life today is much easier
than before. Like for example the way we connect with other people how even how far they are
from us. We can talk to them easily by the use of social media, and gadgets. We can also receive
a reply in just a second. Unlike before people don’t have access on social media and gadgets, so
they need to write a letter and drop it in a mailbox just to communicate and it takes a month for
them to receive a reply. Aside from that when it comes to education, we can now study even at
home because we have an access on the internet, we can have a legitimate information in just
one click. Unlike before those students need to go the library and read books just to answer their
assignments and to collect knowledge and information. We are living in a generation where we
can have an access on everything instantly. The development and the evolution across
generations really makes our life easier without doing such efforts to be done. The life of people
in today’s generation would be pointless without technology.

3. How important the access to information nowadays, especially in this time of pandemic?

 Access for information during this time of health crisis is really important. It helps us to
be aware about the current situation. It also helps us know the things that we need to do or tips
in order to survive the current crisis. We can now easily find legit information in just one click,
not just in the news on the television or on the radio. We can access all of it in our social media
app and other social media platforms. Especially this time of pandemic, we are not allowed to go
outside to see or share relevant information on our friends and loved ones. By the use of the
social media, we can easily share the information that we find or read online for them to be
aware too. Not just about them, but the friends we have on Facebook can also see it and help
them too. Spreading information and accessing on it is now easy because of the innovation of
the technology especially in this time that we really need it in able to interact with one another
without going outside and risks our lives.

1. How do social media platforms affect your life?

Honestly speaking, social media is already part of my life now and it also has a huge
impact in me positively and negatively. First is the positive thing that social media has done in
my life, it gives me an opportunity to learn new things, it also helps me to motivate every day.
How? Every time I am browsing through my social media Facebook to be exact. I often see and
read positivity and motivational quotes, whenever I read such content, it influences me to be
motivated and be positive in life. Sometimes, I also read some inspiring stories from other
people that also inspires me. Social media also helped me and my family to cope up in this time
of pandemic financially. We used it to have an income for our expenses everyday. On the other
hand, the negative impact of social media is that it affects my mood and stress level. There are
times that instead of having time to rest and sleep early I’ll choose to browse on Facebook
without being aware and knowing that I’m just wasting my time. Daily and too much use of
social media and gadgets is really bad for our health. physically, mentally, or even emotionally. It
is clearly obvious that social media is already part of our lives. However, we shouldn’t forget that
all too much is bad. we should limit ourselves in using gadgets because it will just harm us. We
should also be productive on other things, make time with your family do such productive
activities aside from browsing social media.

2. What social media platform do you always use and how does it perform in your everyday life?

The social media platforms or apps that I always use is Facebook and messenger.
Because it is where I interact with my friends, loved ones that are far away from me, professors
and classmates. I used it to access information especially today that we’re on online classes and
we can’t go outside to have a quality or to bond with my friends. By the use of these social
media platform, I can easily access and interact with my friends and classmates. I can easily have
information about online classes, and I can be able to know what are the activities or assignment
that we have on a specific subject. I used it also to gather information and knowledge, that’s
how powerful social media platform is.

 3. What is meme according to the lesson?

We can see different memes in social media, we can see it everywhere in Facebook and
other social media platforms. It can be a funny image and can be a source of happiness. It can be
a humorous image which you can relate and find it interesting. It is a quick-edited pictures
showing both relevant and funny features to create meaning. This are photos that are captioned
to elicit humor. They call it meme because it come from the Greek word “mimema” which means
imitated. Meme is a photo that spread information by imitation. This photo sends good vibes to
everyone because they are related to this. It is famous in all social media platforms.

As a student who’s dealing with online class having an access on technology is really important

to me. Because without my laptop or cellphone or technology. I can’t able join online classes. I can’t

access my emails and do my assignments given by the professor. Technology helps us students and also

professors to deal with online classes. Interact with our classmates and conduct online meeting easily.

This kind of online learning really needs technology. Another thing is can also purchased things online

without going outside. Since I have an online shop, it is easy for me to connect with my customer online,

without actually seeing them and handing them the product. Without this technology, I really don’t see

what our lives looks like during this crisis. The technology plays an important role in our lives today.
