Guide Questions for the PIR on the Use of SLMs for the Different Learning Modalities in the Light of the BE-LCP.
1. In what ways have you been successful in implementing modular instruction/online distance education
blended?
Modular instruction is being successfully implemented in our school because of parents and teachers’
collaboration with the help of LGU. Learners also assume the responsibility for learning since they know
what to do even without the aid of textbooks and other learning materials as long as they are being guided
by their parents. They can also contact their teachers thru text messaging or pm them thru group chats if
they have some querries.
2. How did you ensure that all learners have access to the devices/modules they need to fully participate in
distance learning?
Parents are asked to sign in form 3 for the third and fourth quarters after discussing the LACT. But for
the first and second quarters, they signed in logbook during the retrieval and distribution of modules.
3. How did you support the teachers in developing Weekly Home Learning Plan to meet the needs of learners
with varying levels of access and capability?
WHLP is being checked and they are always reminded to make it as a habit since it aids them and the
parents in tracking the daily learning process and the outcomes of performance in due time.
4. How did your teachers support learners with disabilities who need specialized instruction, related services,
and other support?
They try to contact them in GCs or text. However, if they have time, they do home visitation once in a
while observing health and safety protocols.
5. How did you ensure that the instructional needs of slow learners/non-readers/learners who are not yet
independent/learners who have nobody to help/facilitate learning at home are supported?
Advisers give reading materials to parents. Then there is scheduled time for each learner to read it in GC
or during home visitation.
6. In what ways have you been successful in minimizing number of learners at risk of dropping out in the
different learning modalities?
Parents/Guardians/Facilitators who report the problems like lack of interest or even stubbornness in
answering the modules to the advisers are being given advices on how to handle the situation. What
strategies or support may be applied to convince the learners. If there is a need for home visitation, then the
SH and teacher will do it.
7. What kind of support and professional development did you provide to school leaders and teachers to
prepare them in the distance education?
Teachers are advised to join webinars/trainings online and LAC Sessions about distance learning are being
tackled to keep them abreast on the new trends.
8. How did the teachers establish and maintain regular communication with learners and families – particularly
the most vulnerable?
Through text messaging, group chats , private messaging and home visitation observing health safety
protocols.
9. How did you support the social and emotional well-being of learners, their parents/learning facilitators, and
teachers during their distance education?
Parents and learners were given magazines about pandemic on the opening of classes. They are also free to
consult the advisers/teachers on their querries. During meetings, School Head also discuss how to handle
emotions and how to keep connected even there is social distancing. Teachers have LAC Sessions in
Psychosocial and Emotional Support during pandemic conducted .Other topics will be discussed by invited
school heads online as part of DLAC.
10. What did the teachers do when a learner is not progressing? Not completing assigned tasks/modules?
They talk to the parents/guardians/facilatators on how to address the stubbornness and lack of interest
which are the usual problems being raised to the advisers. Sometimes, learners are being monitored
through Online Kumustahan . They do it very informal for the learners to feel the presence of their teachers.
11. How did they use the assessment results? (those found in the SLM/teacher-made)
They use assessment to inform learners about their performance, progress and to give support and
appropriate attention to those students with special instructional needs.
12. How did the teachers support all high school learners, especially seniors, in staying on track to graduate and
preparing for college and career?
Not Applicable.
13. In what ways have you been successful in establishing partnership with the LGU? National/local industries,
NGOs, foundations, private companies and other stakeholders?
LGU supports our chosen Learning Delivery Modality by providing printing materials like printer and papers
and even laptap. They see to it that SEF is being utilized for the new normal.
14. How can we improve the utilization of the SLMs? WHLP? Implementation of the difference learning
modalities in your School? /District?
SLMS are designed where student is free to choose what, how, when and where to learn. Therefore, we
should be flexible in assessing their portfolios and SLMs being retrieved from their
parents/guardians/facilitators. There should be proper information, monitoring and intervention .
