Our Aim:-
2. Use this energy to run various components of vehicle apart from giving
that power to the wheels, running accessories, wipers, sunroofs, power
windows, etc.
Why this?
As we know regenerative braking is just the energy captured while the vehicle is
decelerating or when brakes are applied, so the power generated is not that high to
charge a bigger battery but when a smaller battery will be given that power it will charge
faster. So it is a pretty simple concept where we are using a separate battery for all
running other components of our Vehicle.
Working Principle:-
Regenerative brakes work by reversing electric motors that propel a car. It works like a
generator and feeds energy back into the hybrid or electric system to help replenish a
little bit of range. These small boosts in battery range can accumulate and improve
e ciency over time when used regularly.
Linking mechanism.

Advantages:- 1. Extends range.
2. Reduces Pollution.
2.As discussed with the driving conditions, the variation of torque will
cause ine ciencies and may damage the system as well.
Scopes in Future:-
Cost of installation:- Around Rs 20,000/- for a single wheel so for a 4 wheeler it can
easily go for 50,000-70,000/-
Service and life:- It can easily last for 100,000 miles and then can be replaced. Only
Brakes need to be replaced not motor or other components.
E ectiveness:- It can easily restore 70% of the kinetic energy and put it back to the
battery. That energy is used as range extender of vehicle.
Last Longer and helps owner save on maintenance costs and provide
better fuel e ciency for hybrid vehicles, in hybrid vehicles the battery
hence keeps fully charged and hence the reliance on conventional
engines drops so overall reduces fuel consumption and money.
