Module 2-GROUPED DATA
I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard Demonstrates understanding of key concepts, uses and
importance of statistics, data collection/gathering and the
different forms of data representation, measures of central
tendency, measures of variability, and probability.
B. Performance Able to collect and organize data systematically and compute
Standard accurately measures of central tendency and variability and
apply these appropriately in data analysis and interpretation
in different fields.
C. Learning • Gather and organize data using the frequency
Objectives distribution table.

III. PROCEDURES PRELIMINARIES
Preparatory Activities PRAYER
(The teacher will instruct the students to stand for the
prayer)
GREETINGS
(The teacher will send her greetings to the class)
CLEANING
(The teacher will instruct the students to pick up some
pieces of trash or garbage and arrange the chairs properly)
CHECKING OF ATTENDANCE
(The teacher will check the attendance by collecting the
names of absent)
CHECKING OF ASSIGNMENT
(The teacher will let the students to check their assignments
and provide the correct answer)
Answers:
1. What is the total frequency of the given data? (20)
2. How many students got a mark of 25? (2)
3. How many students got the lowest score in Math test? (1)
4. What type of data is this? (Ungrouped Data)
Development Activities REVIEW
(The teacher will conduct a review for the previous topic
about statistics.)
• What are the methods in collecting data?
• How to construct frequency distribution
table for ungrouped data?
Motivation (The teacher will show video presentation on the application
of statistics in the real-world which motivate students to
learn in the discussion)
Activity ACTIVITY 1
Direction: In a group, answer the problem below about
ungrouped data. Present your work in class.
Aldrin has a part-time job at the Body Fit Gym. His boss
wants to know the ages of the teenagers in the center’s
taekwondo class. Aldrin records the ages of everyone in
the class. Below are the ages of the teenagers.
Application The following are the weights (in lbs) of grade 7 students.
Construct a frequency table using 7 as the desired number
of class interval. How many students weigh more than 100
lbs?
Solution:
