Module 2-UNGROUPED DATA
Module 2-UNGROUPED DATA
Module 2-UNGROUPED DATA
I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standard Demonstrates understanding of key concepts, uses and
importance of statistics, data collection/gathering and the
different forms of data representation, measures of central
tendency, measures of variability, and probability.
B. Performance Able to collect and organize data systematically and compute
Standard accurately measures of central tendency and variability and
apply these appropriately in data analysis and interpretation
in different fields.
C. Learning • Gather and organize data using the frequency
Objectives distribution table.
II. SUBJECT MATTER
A. Topics GATHERING AND ORGANIZING STATISTICAL DATA IN
A FREQUENCY DISTRIBUTION (Ungrouped Data)

C. Materials PowerPoint Presentation, laptop, & TV, visual aids
D. Values Focus • Teamwork
• Patience
• Determination
E. Integration • Research
III. PROCEDURES PRELIMINARIES
Preparatory Activities PRAYER
(The teacher will instruct the students to stand for the
prayer)
GREETINGS
(The teacher will send her greetings to the class)
CLEANING
(The teacher will instruct the students to pick up some
pieces of trash or garbage and arrange the chairs properly)
CHECKING OF ATTENDANCE
(The teacher will check the attendance by collecting the
names of absent)
CHECKING OF ASSIGNMENT
(The teacher will let the students to check their assignments
and provide the correct answer)
Example 1:
Solution:
Solution:
1. Write the service ratings in order.
2. Make a tally.
3. Count the tallies then write the frequencies.
4. Total all the frequencies.
The rates of 3 and below consist of good (3), fair (2), and
poor (1). Their frequencies are 5, 5, and 3, respectively.
Adding these three frequencies will result to 13, the number
of passengers who gave a rating of 3 and below.
Generalization (The teacher will summarize the lesson by asking
students some questions related to the topic.)
• What are the steps in constructing frequency
distribution table for ungrouped data?
IV. EVALUATION
Direction: Given below are scores obtained by 20 students in Mathematics.
1. What value appears most frequently in the given data? (19)
2. What is the total frequency of the data? (20)
3. What is the lowest data value? (12)
V. ASSIGNMENT
Direction: Given below are marks obtained by 20 students in a 25-point test in Mapeh.
