2021 ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE
IMPROVEMENT PLAN

PREAMBLE
The 2021 academic results shows an over-all increased, which has resulted in the school achieving above the set target of the school (70%)
in most of the grades.

The 2021 academic improvement plan aims to build on the successes achieved as well as the challenges faced through the implementation
of the 2020 academic plan. The plan identified areas which needs urgent attention. These areas includes but not limited to:
(i) IsiZulu Grade 4 and Grade 1
(ii) Natural Sciences Grade 7
(iii) Mathematics Grade 6 and Grade 5

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE 2021 ACADEMIC IMPROVEMENT PLAN


The aim of the 2021 academic improvement plan is to guide and assist Ethubalethu Primary School to improve the performance and the
language proficiency of all learners.

The following are the objectives of the 2021 academic improvement plan:
1. To improve the pass rate of all subjects, especially the following subjects;
(i) IsiZulu Grade 4 from 67.27% to 80%
(ii) Mathematics Grade 6 from 67.42% to 80%
(iii) Mathematics Grade 5 from 65.57% to 80%
(iv) Natural Sciences Grade 7 from 56.84% to 80%
(v) IsiZulu Grade 1 from 69.49% to 80%
2. To improve reading proficiency in all grades by paying special attention to grade 4
3. To improve hand writing from grade 1 to grade 3
4. To improve teaching and learning at Ethubalethu Primary School
5. To effectively involve all stakeholders in the affairs of the school especially parents.
