    WHAT IS OMR?
    OMR stands for Optical Mark
    Recognition. This popular recognition
    technology is used for collecting data from
    “fill-in-the-bubble” forms such as educational
    tests, surveys, assessments, evaluations,
    and many other multiple choice forms. OMR
    has been widely used in education since the
    1960s and is still popular today.

    What is OMR scanner software?
    OMR scanner software can design,
    print, scan, read and evaluate OMR sheets
    and forms, but what makes it distinct as
    OMR scanner software is its scanning
    credibility. It collects information on a form
    where people can mark stylized “bubbles”
    to indicate their answers to questions
    rather than having to write them out.
    How does OMR scanner software
    works?
    Forms are scanned through an
    OMR Scanner. When scanning, the
    OMR scanner detects the absence or
    presence of a mark on the specially
    designed form. OMR detects the
    absence or presence of a mark, but
    not the shape of the mark.
    How does OMR scanner software
    works?
    Software interprets the output
    from the scanner and translates it
    into the desired ASCII output. Using
    a quality printed form and precise
    student shading, OMR technology
    can consistently provide 99.9%
    accuracy on read data.
    Benefits of OMR Scanner
    OMR is an effective way to collect data
    because it:
    • decreases time necessary to
    complete a form compared to writing
    out answers
    • decreases the effort needed to score
    exams or aggregate data and makes
    grades or data available sooner

    How to use EvalBee?
    1. Install first the EvalBee App on your smartphone via
    Google Play Store or App Store.
    2. Login using your Gmail Account.
    - Personal Gmail Account or DepED Email Account
    3. Add Students/Class
    4. Add Exam
    5. Create Answer Sheets
    6. Set Answer Keys
    7. Scan Answer Sheets
    8. Export Report
    Requirements:
    • Smartphone

    • List of Learners in CSV Format
    • Answer Keys
    • Exam Results
    • Item Analysis Template (Project GADGET)
    Launch Add
    EvalBee App. Learners/Class.
    Import List of
    Learners from
    CSV format.
    Add Exam.
    Set the number of Layout your answer
    questions and sheet.
    option type.
    Class Name must match
    with the class name of
    imported list of learners.

    Set the correct answer of
    each item.
    Select and open the
    exam you created and
    scan answer sheets.
    After scanning all answer
    sheets. It will show the
    result of exam and can be
    sorted by score or by

    After scanning all the answer
    sheets, you can now proceed
    You can choose to have a with Item Analysis. Just click
    sound when scanning, save the Excel button to email the
    image, resolution quality of result.

    Copy all learners’ names and paste to
    “Data” sheet in the Project GADGET.
    Paste (values only) to the first
    row of Learners’ Names
    column.
    Delete unnecessary columns.
    Retain only Name and Q1 Options to
    Q40 Options.
    Delete LAN/Roll No.
    Select All (Ctrl+A),
    Copy (Crtl + C) and
    create new sheet.
    Select “Transpose”
    paste option.
    Viola! You got it right! You may now copy all
    learners answer in one time and paste
    to the “T1-RESPONSES” sheet in Project GADGET!

    Prepare and set your Answer
    Key to each item.
    Paste (values only) to the first
    row of learners’ responses.
    No. of leaners should match to
    the number of occupied
    columns.
    No. of items should match to
    the number of occupied rows.
    Enter the MELC and
    Placement of Items
    based on your Table of
    Specifications.
    Go back to “DATA” sheet
    and see if Level of
    Proficiency is now
    reflected.
