Child abuse is a tragic a public health concern that carries an immense human cost.

In Malaysia, it’s estimated that thousands of children are affected by this issue each year.
Child abuse can form as physical, sexual, emotional abuse and neglect.

Abuse and neglect occur most often in families who are under pressure and lack of
parenting skills. Parent’s may not know how to care for their child or may believe it is
acceptable to use excessive physical force to discipline or punish a child. For example,
parents who know little about children may expect too much from them when children can’t
meet unrealistic demands, they may become abusive.

Moreover, family problems are the second cause of abuse, it can be due to divorce
so the child will be separated from the family and because of that a lot of problems raised
such as both parents asking for their right to take the child. Parent must take a good decision
to take care of their child into right way because to prevent from negative.

Although, the third cause is poverty. It happens when the family does not have the
resources to provide or to meet the need of their family members especially children like
food, proper dress and education. In some of countries, number of families tends to sail their
children to rich people. Moreover, family as we know is considers as core of safety to all
children and it is an important sour of love and care.

Abuse often occurs repeatedly and involves more than one type, resulting in lifelong
complications to a child’s mental and physical health. First effect is childhood trauma.
Trauma from child abuse can result in the child having issues with trust, behaviour,
communication, and relationships. The child may be violent, and prone to drug and alcohol
abuse or suicidal thoughts. They may have difficulty learning or holding onto a job.

In addition, child abuse can affect a child’s brain development causing difficulties with
speech and language. Moreover, the child may have learning disorders or regression of
skills or development. Along that, a child must be grown up in a good environment to
improve their brain development.

Although , child abuse can effect a child by behavioural issues. Its can happen during
childhood and young adulthood. The child may have emotional outbursts, changes in mood,
aggressiveness and violence. As a human being, we need to take care children behaviour
when its changes into negative or danger zone.
In casas of demotic violence against children ,abusers are the people who break the
wings of the angels. Child abuse will leave a shadow to his or her life forever. Besides that,
our hands are used to comfort children, not to beat or hurt them.
