Question 1:
1. This is a Rasi based Dasa and the span of a Dasa is the average of Chara and Sthira Dasas.
The first dasa will be the strongest among lagna and the 7th. If the 1st dasa rasa is odd,
then the order is clockwise. If it is even then the order is anticlockwise. The duration of
the dasa is half the sum of chara and sthira dasas of that rasi.

7th house is strong. 7th house is Pisces which is Apasavya rasi group. Hence the order
will be anti-clockwise.
Question 2:
If the 8th lord from Atmakaraka is posited in the 8th only, he will become Brahma.
Find whether lagna is stronger than the 7th or vice versa. From this house find the
strongest among the lords of the 6th, 8th and 12th. The strongest among these becomes
Brahma if he is in an odd sign and is in the visible half.
From the lagna visible half covers from the 7th house to the 12th house. Invisible covers
from lagna to the 7th house.
Exceptions: If Saturn, Rahu, Ketu becomes Brahma, he is only a nominal one. The real Brahma
will be 6th counted from nominal one. The order of counting is the Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury,
Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu. If two or more planets are qualified from Brahma, then
the one having a greate longitude in the sign or having greater strength is to be selected. IF the
two plantes having same longitude or same strength, then find out the strength of the Rashis in
which those two planets are posited. The planet in a sign having greater strength becomes
Brahma.

In the example chart, 7th is strong. From 7th – lord of 6th is Sun, lord of 8th is Venus and lord of
12th is Saturn. Sun is stronger and he is in Tula which is an odd sign and he is in 2 nd which is
visible half from lagna to 6th house for 7th house. Hence, Sun is Brahma.
3. The stronger among the lord of 8th and the lord of 2nd from lagna becomes Rudra. It is also
known as Prani Rudra.
In the example chart of lord of 2nd Venus is string. Hence Venus is Rudra.
4. Count from Lagna to the Dwara Rasi and when the same number is counted from Dwara Rasi,
we get the Bhavya Rasi or Bogha Rasi.
5. Arudha lagna is a substitute Lagna that gives an alternate point of view of a

horoscope. Count the rashis from lagna to the rashi where the lord of lagna is posited
and the same number of Rashis to be counted from that Rashi. This Rashi indicates
Arudha Lagna.
The same procedure we can adopt to find the Arudha of any Bhava.
Example Chart: In the example chart, Lagna is Kanya. The lagna lord is Mercury and is in the 3 rd
house from Rashi lagna. Again count 3 Rashis from there. Hence 3rd house from Mercury is
Makara which becomes Arudha Lagna. Similarly for all the houses Arudha is calculated.

Exception whil calculating Arudha:

• • If the lord of the bhava is posited in the bhava itself or in the 7th bhava, 10th
house becomes Arudha
• • If the lord of the house is posited in 4th house or 10th house, 4th house becomes
Arudha.
Results of Arudha Lagna:

The planet in the 11th house from Arudha Lagna or aspecting planet’s strength will give
the indication about the native’s wealth.
If benefic planets are there in the 11th house from the Arudha lagna, the native earns by
good deeds.
