unexpectedly, and in her fright and haste to get away, ran across the Lion's nose. Roused from his nap,
the Lion laid his huge paw angrily on the tiny creature to kill her.

"Spare me!" begged the poor Mouse. "Please let me go and some day I will surely repay you."The Lion
was much amused to think that a Mouse could ever help him. But he was generous and finally let the
Mouse go.

Some days later, while stalking his prey in the forest, the Lion was caught in the toils of a hunter's net.
Unable to free himself, he filled the forest with his angry roaring. The Mouse knew the voice and
quickly found the Lion struggling in the net. Running to one of the great ropes that bound him, she
gnawed it until it parted, and soon the Lion was free.
"You laughed when I said I would repay you," said the Mouse. "Now you see that even a Mouse can
help a Lion."

The Carabao and the Turtle

By Mark Paulo
One day the carabao and the turtle met. The turtle wants to be
friends with the carabao. The carabao just laughed out loud and
mockingly said, “not someone like you. All I want is your size and my
strength. It's not like you're old enough to be overweight. ” The turtle
was humiliated by the boar. “You are so oppressive. You are undermining
my ability. You must know that the little one is safe. ” The buffalo
sounded. He challenged the turtle to make a living to prove what he was
saying. The turtle accepted the carabao challenge. "When you defeat me
in this fight I will serve you forever." “You're really strong, huh. Pwes,
when do you want to start a career? ” Cowardly carabao with buffalo.
"Tomorrow morning, this place, too," replied the turtle quickly.
The carabao was very happy because he was sure to beat the turtle
in the race. He was big and ran fast. But the turtle is smart. He spoke
with four turtle friends. He places them at the top of every mountain up to
the fifth. The next morning, carabao arrived early. As expected, he has
yet to face a career. “Oh, how, you haven't been caught yet. What is the
condition of our career? ” asked the supreme. “Okay, this is how we do
it. The first one to reach the fifth peak of that mountain is the winner,
”said the turtle. As one might expect, the turtle was covered in dust. The
buffalo had reached the first mountain, but to his surprise, the turtle was
thought to be his enemy. The buffalo kept running until the second
mountain. So did he. There is a turtle there. Anger kept the carabao
running until the third mountain.
Once again there was a turtle again, as well as the fourth and fifth
mountains. Due to the great shame and anger at his defeat of the turtle he
trampled the turtle out loud. The turtle's back was stiff so it didn't hurt but
the buffalo wept over the pain caused by the claws of the nails kicking the
weak and small turtle.
Moral Lesson: Avoid being arrogant. Do not deceive both.

The Cobra And The Ants
By: Shreya Sharma
Once upon a time, a huge King Cobra lived in a dense forest. He ate all kinds of creatures like
lizards, frogs, bird eggs and other small animals and insects. All night long, he hunted for food.
And as soon as the sun rises, he would hide in his hole to sleep.
The Cobra was very lazy and he soon grew fat. As he grew fat, it became difficult for the Cobra to
move in and out of his old hole. So, he found himself a new hole which was a huge tree. The only
problem was that the tree had a group of ants there at its root. So, the Cobra went to the anthill and
ordered them to live somewhere else as he was considered to be the King of the forest. The other
animals that were around them were very frightened. But the ants did not pay any attention to his
threats at all.
Soon, they swarmed all over the body of the Cobra, stinging and biting him. Their sting caused
unbearable pain to the Cobra. He wriggled with pain and tried to keep ants away from his body but
he could not do so. After some time, the ants went away from the Cobra. The Cobra laid there hurt
and wounded. The Cobra was crying in pain. All the animals who were afraid of him could only
pity him. The ants taught King Cobra a great lesson.
