The Scoop - Lyft To Work
The Lyft to Work partner transportation program provides a safer, subsidized transportation option for partners that
walk or take public transit when commuting to/from shifts during specific early morning and late evening hours.
Eligible partners will have the option to enroll in the program and take up to 20 qualified rides per month at a
subsidized cost.
Partner eligibility
You may enroll in at lyft.com/starbucks if:
• You are an hourly partner* (i.e., barista, shift supervisor, shift manager, or café attendant)
• Your home store is on the list of program-designated stores
• You are currently employed by Starbucks in the United States
• You are at least 18 years old (per Lyft’s age requirement)
*Eligible hourly partners who are promoted to a salaried position such as an assistant manager or store
manager, will no longer be eligible for the Lyft to Work program
Ride qualifications
Starbucks will subsidize the cost of an enrolled partner’s qualified ride if:
• The partner has qualified rides remaining in their account (from their monthly 20 ride allotment)
• The ride pick-up OR drop-off location is that of a program-designated store
• The ride is in conjunction with the partner’s scheduled shift at a program-designated store
• The partner’s shift either:
• Starts at or before 6:00 a.m.
• Ends at or after 6:00 p.m.

• Call the Partner Contact Center (PCC) at (888) SBUX-411 (7289-411) with general questions about the Lyft to
Work program, eligibility, imputed income, etc.
• Report any technical or ride safety issues through the Lyft app.
• Visit lyft.com/starbucks to enroll and review qualified ride issuance history and remaining rides.

Cost
See below to understand how Starbucks will subsidize your qualified rides:
If your qualified ride cost totals • Starbucks will pay for the entire ride
less than $20 • You will be responsible for any tip you give your driver
• You will get $1.50 recorded as taxable income on your next paycheck*
If your qualified ride cost totals • Starbucks will pay $20 towards your ride
more than $20 • You will pay the remaining cost
• You will be responsible for any tip you give your driver
• You will get $1.50 recorded as taxable income on your next paycheck*
If your qualified ride exceeds the • You will pay for the entire ride (including tip)
maximum of 20 rides per month
For any non-qualified ride • You will pay for the entire ride (including tip)
*Similar to your Spotify Premium benefit, you are not being charged for your Lyft ride, but it is a taxable fringe
benefit disclosed on your earnings statement to allow accurate withholding of employment and income taxes.
Partner responsibilities
Eligible partners who choose to participate in the program are expected to:
• Create or use an existing Lyft account
• Download the Lyft app to a personal mobile device
• Add a personal payment method to their Lyft account (the store P-card may NOT be used)
• Enroll in the Lyft to Work program
• Exercise normal safety precautions before accepting a ride with a Lyft driver
• Ensure they get into the correct Lyft vehicle by verifying its license plate and driver’s name
• Use the program’s subsidized rides only in conjunction with a scheduled shift (that starts at or before 6:00 a.m. OR
at or after 6:00 p.m.) in a program-designated store
• Share their qualified rides ONLY with other eligible partners
NOTE: Partners may not use a qualified ride for transportation to/from a store when not working a shift covered by the
program, for transportation to/from a non-designated store, or for personal purposes. Misuse of the program will
result in corrective action up to and including separation from employment with Starbucks.
