PERSONAL NOTES DURING THE “6TH DAY IN-SERVICE TRAINING ON


ASSESSMENT OF SLCP-DISTANCE LEARNING DELIVERY (QUARTER1),
PLANNING OF SLCP-DISTANCE LEARNING DELIVERY (QUARTER 2) AND
PEDAGOGICAL RETOOLING”
DDNHS SHS BUILDING, ITOK, CAPALONGA, CAMS. NORTE

1. RATIONALE OF DISTANCE LEARNING DELIVERY: PLANNING AND ASSESSMENT


The 6-day In Service Training and Seminar Workshop on Assessment and Planning
of Distance Learning Delivery through Modular Learning Modality and other skills training
Capability Building was designed to enhance the teacher’s capability in the
implementation of Distance Learning Delivery other applicable skills that will improve the
quality of teaching and learning process amidst the Corona Virus pandemic.

2. Assessment of School Learning Continuity Plan- Distance Learning Delivery


The assessment of the School Learning Continuity Plan-Distance Learning Delivery
was conducted by Ms. Shirley D. Somono, OIC DDNHS for both groups. She introduced
the activity through a role play and reiterated the need to continue the education of the
learners despite the current health situation as given emphasis by DepEd Sec. Leonor D.
Briones. There were 8 indicators that were given emphasis, what are the different issues
and concerns regarding this and what intervention they make to address such issues and
concerns and the lesson learned that will help them in implementation of the said
Distance Learning Delivery for the 2nd Quarter.

3. Preparation of Ratings/Grade for the 1st Quarter and Preparation of Parallel Test for
the 2nd Quarter.
The said topics were conducted by Mr. Nolan C. Yebra, TIC of San Antonio High
School. He discussed DepEd Order 031 s. 2020 – Interim Policy Guidelines Assessment
and Grading considering the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan that will be
implemented by public elementary and secondary schools nationwide for SY 2020-2021.
Teachers, parents and learners have ttheir own roles to play to achieve a fair assessment
for the learners. Assessment components will be based on the two categories:
Performance and written works and the weights where depend to the different categories.

4. Preparation and Workweek Plan


The preparation of workweek plan was presented by yours truly for our group. I
discussed the importance of preparing the workweek plan especially that the
teachers were following the Alternative Work Arrangement. The workweek plan will
serve as the teacher’s guide to maximize their time and effort to deliver the quality
teaching and learning process despite the pandemic. How it will help the teacher in
reaching out most of their learners.

5. Re-Echoing of PRIMALS
Presentation of the different topics were discussed by the subject teachers from
Science by Ms. Diane Begino, Mathematics by Lynda Amor Bocato, English and Filipino
Department by Ms. Shiena J. Barrameda.

6. Reflection of the Day


The training/seminar helps me a lot. With enough knowledge insights, I’m able to
perform my duties and obligations as a public-school teacher.

2. Use of Different Social Media Platform


Since there are no internet connections the topic was presented using a video. The
discussant gave different applications and asked the participants to try the applicants at
home or when there are internet connections.

3. Project Proposal Making


Mr. Pablo C. Jardin Jr. discussed the importance of making project proposal especially
if a teacher wanted to help to improve the school in conducting activity.

4. Planning for the SLCP 2021


Each group made their own plan and presented in the plenary. The plan was
categorized on the following indicator, learners, module distribution and retrieval, parents,
learning support aide, parallel test, school improvement, school activities, etc.

5. Open Forum
Clearing house conducted.

6. Closing Program
The closing program conducted by Group 4.
