CULMINATING ACTIVITY: NARRATIVE REPORT

Introduction

The report discusses a culminating event designed to innovate and promote

and a food product through sales pitching, food tasting, and interactive activities. Its
purpose is to generate interest and increasing sales. The report includes details of
the product, the event venue, the sales pitching approach, food tasting experience,
and customer interactions. It also examines customer feedback and data to
evaluate the success of the event. The culminating aims to provide key insights
that can help improve future marketing and sales efforts. The objective of this
activity is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of marketing
products, effective sales pitching techniques, and food tasting experiences.
Through this activity, students will gain knowledge on how to effectively target their
customers and to see if the products are viable to market. The goal is to equip
students with the necessary skills to interact with potential clients and customers
effectively. By the end of this activity, students will have a better understanding of
product promotion, sales techniques, and food tasting interactions, enabling them
to increase their overall business profitability.

Key Events and Activities

The culminating activity that we conducted was a huge help to the students
when it came to discovering and developing their skills. There are lots of
hindrances to continuing the culminating activity; first, the announcement of the
changing plans and process of activity. We thought there was no program at all, so
we’re lacking in preparation. We also thought that there were 10 evaluators based
on the announcement that night, but as the event started, the number of evaluators
increased. This problem helps our group be more confident and calm to execute
our plan smoothly. We came up with this product because one of the members of
our group saw this fruit crepe and suggested that if it is possible, we just rebrand
since we don’t have a place to cook. So, we decided to rebrand and change its
name to fruit pillows since it looks likes pillow-shaped. We didn’t make our fruit
pillows because our plan was to rebrand, but the day before the event, there was a
dry run, and our advisers saw that there was no innovation. They suggest that we
make our fruit pillows for the university games. Overall, this culminating activity
gives us lots of realizations and helps us develop skills that we may use in the
future.

Lesson Learned

The lesson that I learned in this activity is that for every problem, there’s
always a solution; you just need to be calm and think critically to resolve it. In
addition, I realized that it is important to listen to your groupmates to maintain good
communication. It will help the group organize and make the right decision in every
dilemma that will come.
When it comes to skills, I think I developed my communication skills. As we
brainstorm for the flow of the event, giving suggestions and recommendations is
important to express what you want and don’t want, and you also need to listen to
your groupmates for their insights. This is one way to keep your group calm while
making solutions for problems. Moreover, I think I developed my marketing skills.
As a future agripreneur, I will learn the art of persuading customers to buy our
product. I will learn how to create a compelling product description and promote it
through various marketing channels, including social media, specifically Facebook,
Tiktok, and Instagram. Lastly, sales pitching skills: learning how to deliver an
effective sales pitch is a valuable skill. I learn how to highlight the unique features
and benefits of their product, identify their target audience, and tailor their pitch
accordingly.

Conclusion

The culminating activity was a great help to the students in discovering and
developing their skills. Hindrances included the announcement of the changing
plans and the increased number of evaluators. The group decided to rebrand and
change its name to fruit pillows, but the day before the event, their advisers saw no
innovation and suggested they make them for the university games. The most
important details from this activity are that it is important to be calm and think
critically to resolve problems, listen to groupmates to maintain good
communication, and develop communication, marketing, and sales pitching skills.
These skills will help the group organize and make the right decision in any
dilemma.

Recommendations

As we finished the food tasting, we consolidated all the survey responses to

get their feedback. The following information is a list of recommendations.

• The evaluators recommend to make the price low to afford it.

• The students recommend making our cup smaller so that it looks larger.
• The students also recommend having toppings like smashed graham
crackers, marshmallows, chocolate chips, etc.
• Some students recommend that we use the freezer to maintain the
consistency of our fruit pillows.
