Executive Summary

The product “Mini Munchies” will be launched by six (6) 12th Grade

Ocampo students of Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS) under the

Academic Track as their requirement for their Entrepreneurship subject.

This will act as a venue for them to monitor and evaluate the progress

they make with their skills as they perform such study. As HUMSS

students, it is essential to be equipped with skills other than that of social

sciences-inclined one. This study will consequently provide them with such

skills pivotal to their development in the areas of entrepreneurship,

management, and marketing. Furthermore, this will allow them to gain

substantial profit they may use for financial aid.

After a careful deliberation, the aforementioned team has concluded

that after the trends that arose during the pandemic, foods with an aesthetic

aspect to it has been in high demand. As such, similar businesses have

taken notice and utilized this opportunity to gain tract of the attention of the

masses. Utilizing such information and a SWOT analysis, the team was able

to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats this

business plan poses for the team.

Thus, the team concluded that this proposal is an outline to a snack

that the general mass is not only familiar with but also fond of. This was

generated through the collective’s planning and observation on the locale of

the study. The team has accordingly decided to launch a business that will

revolve around a product called “cookies”. Cookies in its broadest sense, is a

1
common yet underappreciated snack in the city’s status quo. The said

delicacy is mostly found in coffee shops but is rather set with prices that are

rather unaffordable for the average Laoagueño.

The team not only aims to provide the people of Laoag with tasty and

aesthetically pleasing sweets but to also offer them at a reasonable price

with consideration to the inflation the economy is undergoing. Furthermore,

the team aims to help demolish the notion that people of poor backgrounds

cannot have nice things. The team guarantees quality service and experience

for the customers that will avail the product. The team also assures its

patrons of the product’s quality, safety, and cleanliness. The collective

promises the affordability of the delicious and “Instagrammable” product

that will not only be friendly to the average budget but will also give them a

rather exquisite and sweet experience.

Business Plan Proper

The needs

The gathered information is based on market research and the team's

observation; the aforementioned are factors that the project “Mini Munchies”

necessary to set forth.

● Grasp the changes

People now have access to a variety of goods that are not

common among the locals thanks to the emergence of new businesses

in the area. We observe the unexpected events and changes that had

occurred throughout the epidemic as we adjust to the new normal.

While there is nothing wrong with traditions, individuals will always

find a way to try something new. By consuming snacks, the "Mini

Munchies" concept will introduce individuals to new experiences.

● The emphasis will always be on affordability and high standards.

People discover the hard way the importance of saving money in

the midst of a pandemic. No one will also like a snack that is

expensive. Expensive foods are generally unappealing, especially now

when snacks are meant to be savored. "Mini Munchies" won't give

customers a sad expression on their face. Because the product is

affordable, it can be used by everyone. Additionally, because of the

high quality of the product, customers will be able to enjoy such

4
delights on a budget and will recognize that their money was well

spent.

● Satisfy one’s craving

It is well known that one's business objective is to serve the

needs of its customers. "Mini Munchies" is not only reasonably priced

and of high quality, but it can also save one's yearning. Cookies have

ingredients including flour, sugar, and milk that may help satiate

hunger.

● Trendy and “Instagrammable”

The factors that should be taken into consideration when

creating a product are affordability, quality, and satisfaction. On the

other hand, particularly when it comes to food and beverages, we have

a tendency to forget that customers often have other purposes when

making a purchase. It is due to its current vogue. It is true that young

people with active social media lives make up the majority of clients

who purchase these particular products. Given that the team is of this

generation, it has been determined that the majority of consumers of

food and beverages have a tendency to take images of the item and

upload them to their tale or even genuinely post them to social media,

particularly Instagram. "Mini Munchies" will not only satisfy

someone's stomach and wallet, but it also delivers an appealing

representation of the product itself, making it worthwhile to be

featured in someone's story.

8
The Business Plan

A. Marketing Plan

a. Products and Services

Mini Munchies are tasty snacks that are small enough to

enjoy as a snack. The petite size of these adorable, delicious

cookies makes them ideal for savoring in tiny, filling bits. Mini

Munchies are frequently prepared with premium ingredients

and skillfully created to produce a harmony of tastes and

textures. Mini snacks that start with the traditional option—

chocolate chip—and looking forward to trying new flavors in the

future

Mini Munchies are quite the flavor bomb despite their

small size. Every cookie is created to be flavorful, giving every

mouthful a burst of sweetness or savory goodness. Mini

Munchies are also frequently favored for their portability. They

are practical for on-the-go snacking because of their tiny,

resealable packaging, which lets you indulge in a flavor

explosion whenever and wherever you like. To sate your

9
cravings whenever they arise, you can keep them hidden in your

bag, desk drawer, or automobile.

b. Unique Selling Proposition

“With every tiny bite, you’ll taste the big flavor.”

Emphasize that despite their diminutive size, Mini Munchies are

bursting with taste. This distinguishes them from other bite-sized

treats that could forgo flavor in favor of convenience. The distinctive

attractiveness of the bite-sized little biscuits is further highlighted by

the mini cookies. In just a few tiny nibbles, customers can experience

the enjoyment of a fully flavored cookie. The novelty and

distinctiveness of the product are highlighted by this positioning.

10
Mini Munchies offers a range of flavorful and delicious snack

that is perfect for people who are looking for an easy-to-go snack. The

proponents use fresh and high-quality ingredients to ensure the

quality and authenticity of the products. With Mini Munchies, you can

indulge in your favorite cookie bites without feeling guilty.

c. Target Market, Market Size, and Market Share Goal

Target Market

Mini Munchies strives to provide tasty and aesthetically

pleasing sweets at a reasonable price, taking into account the impact

of economic inflation. Its target market consists of Ilocos Norte College

of Arts and Trades students and teaching and non-teaching staff

looking for an immediate but filling meal. Its miniature nature makes

it an ideal snack designed specifically for anyone who is too

preoccupied with schoolwork to feed their empty stomach. The team

behind Mini Munchies guarantees quality service and an exquisite

and sweet experience for customers who will purchase the product.

Market Share Goal

Mini Munchies is expecting a market share of 8% and sales of

Php 958,125.00 within the first year of launching the product.

Market Share Goal 766,500/958,125 = 0.8 = 8%

11
d. Pricing Strategy

The Mini Munchies price its product competitively and

reasonably with consideration to market standards and cost of

production. It will employ the following pricing strategies:

A. Cost-Plus Pricing – The Mini Munchies imposes an

approximately 5% markup to the total cost of production to

determine the selling price. This takes into account the cost of

raw materials, direct labor, and overhead expenses (e.g. utilities,

equipment).

B. Dynamic Pricing – This strategy conforms to the current

market demand and supply. Mini Munchies can adjust its

prices in line with factors such as seasonality, availability and

price of raw materials, and market demand. For example,

during an unprecedented implication/disaster such as the

recent pandemic wherein prices were at an all-time high, the

company can increase its prices proportional to the cost of

materials.

Their market is not particularly threatened by new competitors. Their

company has made a name for itself in the neighborhood and has cultivated

a following of devoted clients. Additionally, it is challenging for new

competitors to reproduce their business model due to the particular

knowledge and expertise needed to produce conventional cookie products.

● Bargaining Power of Buyers

15
Their customers have a high bargaining power as they have many

options to choose from in the local market. However, their business offers

unique and high-quality products that are not easily found elsewhere, which

gives them leverage in negotiations.

● Bargaining Power of Suppliers

While they rely on these suppliers, they have established long-term

relationships with them, which gives them some bargaining power. However,

the supply of certain products can be unpredictable due to weather

conditions and other factors, which can impact their ability to meet

customer demand.

● Threat of Substitutes

There are many substitutes for Mini Munchies products and sells

mass-produced products from other regions in the Philippines. However,

Mini Muchies business has built a strong reputation for providing authentic

and high-quality products that are not easily found elsewhere, which

differentiates them from their competitors.

other retailers selling similar products. However, their business has a

unique advantage in that we specialize in cute little cookie bites products,

which sets them apart from their competitors. Mini Munchies also built a

strong brand and customer loyalty, which gives them a competitive edge.
16

goods for less money. Customers may view competitors like Bake Shops,

which sells cookies nearby Mini Munchies, and other well-known retailers

as alternatives to Mini Munchies.

At the Ilocos Norte College of Arts and Trades, the Mini Munchies

entrepreneurs distributed fliers to promote their products. Additionally, the
