Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin SM Amin was born around year 1955. He ever interested on car and automobile industry. He receive early education in Sekolah Rendah Tunku Munawir from 1961 until 1966. He also receive education in Sekolah Menengah Tuanku Muhammad, Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan.
In year 1974, when he is 19 years old, he already saved RM 80,000 in the bank account as a result from helping his father as a contractor and he saved the salary. He starts his automobile business with a provision Approved Permit (AP) to import foreign manufacture car. The profitability of this job results worth a million ringgit in a year.
Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin SM Amin is one of the malay businessmen and entrepreneur that had succeed in Malaysia. He is the Kumpulan Naza Managing Director which was established in year 1979. He involved in various types of business such as motor business, hotel, plantation, engineering, freight service, machine tool, manufacturing, agency insurance and so on.
In that year, Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin showed his business ability when he decided to import car Japanese car where at the time made car Japan is popular among Malaysian people. He has to face several challenges, including financing and how to get customers' confidence - customer to buy the used car when many between Malaysian less interested in foreign car. However the enthusiasm and belief in the business making his business continue to strive for direct success.

He starts automobile business in a shop at Taman Maluri and sell 10 to 15 unit car in a month. In year 1979, he opens his new branches in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur to further his retailing business and sell 40 to 60 unit cars in one month. Through this experience, he acquire efficiency to find and identify the business opportunity that exists and capable to expand through the market. This competency was a important factor in success and a business endurance also extended the business life.

This case can be seen through his interest to buy 40 % interest and take over national car industry Malaysia, PROTON that reportedly faced finance crisis. He said that he already outline the plan to restore Proton if Malaysian governments allow him buy that company importance of control. This attitude can be seen when a person in entrepreneur are not afraid to try at any risk that will be faced. With well-read and collecting knowledge especially in fields that specialized is one of the method increase the self confidence. 4.3 Import Permit Issue Naza have been criticized before by Parliament members and former Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir because had caused loss national owned company, PROTON suffer losses due to Naza brought in foreign car on a large scale are mainly from South Korea purportedly cheaper compared PROTON made's car. Naza also criticized by Tun Dr. Mahathir because has been granted Approved Permit (AP) which many from the government. Dr. Mahathir state a company not could bring in imported car on a large scale. Opposition leader have convicted Minister of International Trade and Industry, Rafidah Aziz who is also in-laws parents to Nasimuddin involved in APs grant that too many to Naza and all this while have invoked power that he there is to develop Naza. However most that permit approved during Tun Mahathir rule itself and this criticism carried out after his withdrawal.
4.4 National Car Issue Rafidah Aziz and government has been criticized by Dr. Mahathir because has given Kereta Nasional standard namely Malaysian made car to MPV that generated by Naza, Naza Ria. Dr. Mahathir said Naza Ria could not be granted Kereta Nasional standard because it ratted on Kereta Nasional classification that is fixed by the government. Either reason why Dr. Mahathir criticise the status conferral to Naza Ria are because many of the vehicle components produced in Korea and stand out a mile it is made car Korea not Malaysian made car. Naza management just kept shut and has not issued any the statement this criticism.
Naza alleged be successfully a company which successfully because the existence of Rafidah Aziz that can influence decisions Cabinet in the economic matter especially automotive affairs. Apart from that, he also awarded the Industry Service Medal, South Korea President, from Son Sang Ha, the ambassador who come to Malaysia on behalf of South Korea President. That award was given because his contribution on automotive industry. He is the first Malaysian that was given award from that country.

Apart from that, he have perspective plan and short-term by gathering some money as much as RM 80,000 at the age 19 years by helping his father that work as contractor to buy the used car from Japan.
