SimpleBeacon Editor Release Notes
SimpleBeacon Editor Release Notes
1. REVISION HISTORY
A summary of the fixes and features included in each release. This may not contain the full list of changes
for a release, at EM Microelectronics’ discretion.
1.1.1 Summary
Two major enhancements for this release: added the ability to Import existing EMP files into the tool,
and automatically ‘check’ all of the configurations that have been modified, when the Save dialog
appears. Other minor changes as noted below.
1.1.2 Changes
The user can now select an existing patch file (EMP) to import back into the tool and easily
view the contents. The configurations (GUI tabs) that differ are identified (note: individual
modified fields are not identified). If the user attempts to Import another EMP, the defaults
are restored prior to Importing the new EMP.
When the Save dialog appears, all of the configurations that have changed are automatically
‘checked’. The user can ‘uncheck’ any of the configurations if they do not need to be saved at
that time.
Add short-cut keys, ‘CTRL-I’ for Importing, and ‘CRTL-S’ for saving configurations.
Two default values for the Device Config and one default value for the Accelerometer
configuration have been changed to match the firmware defaults.
Change application title to SimpleBeacon from Beacon Editor. All references will use
SimpleBeacon.
Updated the displayed text for the, Advert->USER1, fields with format information.
Add message(s) to Status Bar, listing the name of the recently imported file or the actual
Saved filename (with CRC).
Fix issue when saving to a path that contains a ‘.’, which would corrupt the both the path and
saved filename.
When saving a patch, the title of the dialog box lists the names of the modified containers.
This required modifying the text so more names could appear.
