MTB-MLE COORDINATOR ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT


S.Y. 2022-2023

I. Introduction:
I am pleased to present the accomplishment report for my tenure as the MTB-MLE Coordinator for School Year 2022-2023. During
this period, I actively worked towards achieving the goals of promoting critical thinking and critical literacy skills among children while
ensuring the successful implementation of the Mother Tongue-Based Multilingual Education (MTB-MLE) program in our school. The
report highlights the activities undertaken and the outcomes achieved in fulfilling my designated functions.

II. Developing Critical Thinking Skills:


a. Conducted regular workshops and training sessions for teachers to equip them with strategies for fostering critical thinking skills in
students.
b. Organized interactive and engaging classroom activities that encouraged students to analyze, evaluate, and synthesize information
independently.
c. Introduced inquiry-based learning methodologies, promoting curiosity and problem-solving abilities among students.
d. Monitored student progress through formative assessments and provided timely feedback to both teachers and students to enhance critical
thinking skills development.

III. Developing Critical Literacy Skills:


a. Collaborated with the district's language department to create a comprehensive curriculum that integrated critical literacy skills into the
MTB-MLE program.
b. Encouraged teachers to incorporate diverse reading materials in different languages to develop students' language proficiency and critical
literacy.
c. Organized book clubs and reading circles to enhance students' comprehension, analysis, and interpretation of texts.
d. Conducted workshops for parents and caregivers to involve them in supporting their children's literacy development at home.

IV. School MTB-MLE Reports and Accomplishment:


a. Developed a systematic reporting template for schools to document their MTB-MLE activities, challenges faced, and progress made.
b. Reviewed and compiled reports from various schools, analyzing the data to identify trends, strengths, and areas needing improvement.
c. Presented the consolidated reports to the district education office and relevant stakeholders, providing insights into the overall
effectiveness of the MTB-MLE program.

V. Participation in District MTB-MLE Activities:


a. Actively engaged in district-wide MTB-MLE meetings, sharing best practices and exchanging ideas with other coordinators.
b. Assisted in organizing district-level MTB-MLE events, such as language fairs and cultural showcases, to celebrate linguistic diversity and
promote multilingualism.
c. Facilitated workshops for teachers on specialized topics, such as language-specific pedagogies and inclusive teaching practices.
