Extra ideas:
1. To practise speaking more, you can use this website. Students need to watch the short
version of the gifs and guess what will happen next. Encourage them to use ‘will’ and ‘be
going to’.
2. Slide 07: Students can write about somebody who was really influential in their life and
write down as much as they can about why this person is so important.
3. Students can try themselves as fortune tellers and try to predict the future of their
partner (or their own) using Random Pictures, Story Dice or Random Runes.
4. Assign students the task of creating a news report about future events. They can work
individually or in pairs. In their reports, they should use "will" and "be going to" to make
predictions about various news topics, such as sports, entertainment, or global affairs.
They can present their reports to the class, emphasizing their use of the target grammar.
