Steamcmd
It happens when you try to login with SCMD Workshop Downloader and enter wrong
name or password.
1. You tried to download a Workshop item from an unlisted game, ie; that does not allow
downloads by users who have not purchased the game and you have not logged in with an
account that has purchased the game.
SOLUTION: There is no way to fix this problem unless someone with a Steam account who has
purchased the game tries to download it.
2. You tried to download a listed item by signing in with an account that does not own the
game.
SOLUTION: This can happen with a few games, the solution is simple: Remove your SCMD Workshop
Downloader account data and start the download again. The download will start anonymously and
what you are looking for can be downloaded.
As its name suggests, it means that the item you were trying to download could not
be found.
SOLUTION: Make sure all the links you entered are working properly, you can do this by checking
each link with the Download List Preview.
1. The item you are trying to download is very large, around 300 MB in size.
SOLUTION: Press the bottom left options button in SCMD Workshop Downloader 2, activate the "Big
Sized Items Mode" option and try again, if it doesn't work, try increasing the number of replays it
produces by changing the number on the right of the option.
SOLUTION: You just have to login with your Steam’s user before downloading, just write your
account information in the assigned boxes in SCMD Workshop Downloader 2 and start the
download.
It's understandeable if you don't want to because you fear your personal information to be stolen, so
you can follow the next steps for login SteamCMD (The official Steam's tool) without using my app for
it (Just for creating the list to download):
1. Just click the ".bat" file and the download will start
2. Copy everything inside that file and paste it in a CMD window, press enter an the
download will start.
Some items of certain games in the Workshop are paid, even if the game they belong to is listed, you
will not be able to download them.
4. The item you are trying to download belongs to a game that has a registered TOOL or DLC
listed, but not the game itself.
One of the examples of this is Don't Starve and Don't Starve Together, there is no solution for this.
5. Something weird is going on in the Steam Workshop and it just doesn't work right now.
SOLUTION: Check your internet connection, make sure its OK and try again.
This means that the command to download a workshop item without the corresponding IDs
failed or that SCMD List Manager entered a command that it shouldn't., this should not
happen, but if it happens and prevents the download through SCMD Workshop Downloader,
contact me through the app's Discord to solve the problem.
