HIGH SCHOOL MAPEH

INTRODUCTION
The MAPEH Subject seeks to promote the highest levels of human aspiration and artistic integrity of
students' cultural and unique identities through composition, documentation, and performance in
music, arts, and dances, as well as to make students aware of the importance of health and physical
education by keeping their minds, bodies, and spirits healthy.
In keeping with the school's mission, the subject program aims to teach in pupils the value of human
life as a gift from God, as well as the value of establishing a family with hearts that can love, care
sincerely, and perform the duties and obligations of parenthood. Students learn that God is always at
work in their lives, in both their successes and their disappointments.

OVERVIEW

MAPEH, which stands for music, arts, physical education, and health, has great importance in
everyday life. At the very least, music and arts provide an outlet for relaxation. Physical education
teaches the importance of keeping the body active and moving. Health helps to teach one how to stay
well and things that they should and should not do to their bodies.

The Music and Arts Program seeks to expose students to and develop appreciation for Philippine,
Asian, and Western music. Students do not only acquire factual and theoretical knowledge but are
also introduced to applications like singing, playing Filipino and Asian instruments, listening to
recordings, and reading, writing and creating music.

Physical Education aims to make the students physically strong, well-poised, sound and efficient,
mentally alert and active, and emotionally tempered and well-balanced. Each year level takes on a
different fitness program such as sports, gymnastics, dancing, and martial arts.

Health Education is designed to keep students abreast with health concerns and issues. Lessons on
Health Assessment, Proper Hygiene, First Aid, Drugs and Substance Abuse, Mental Health,
Communicable and Non-communicable diseases, Alternative Medicine and Nutrition and Fitness all
aim to lead the students to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
ELEMENTARY MAPEH
INTRODUCTION
Through composition, documentation, and performance in music, the arts, and dance, the MAPEH
Subject aims to advance the highest ideals of human aspiration and the artistic integrity of students'
cultural and unique identities. It also educates students about the value of health and physical
education by ensuring the well-being of their minds, bodies, and spirits.
In keeping with the school's objective, the subject program attempts to instill in students a sense of
the worth of human life as a gift from God as well as the importance of starting a family with hearts
capable of genuine love and care as well as carrying out parenthood's responsibilities. The important
point for students is that God is always at work in their lives, in both their joys and their sorrows.

OVERVIEW
The word MAPEH—stands for music, arts, physical education, and health—is important to daily living.
At the very least, the arts and music give students a way to unwind. The value of keeping the body
active and moving is something that physical education teaches. One learns how to maintain good
health and what they should and shouldn't do to their body through health.

The Music Program aims to expose students to and develop an appreciation for Philippine folk music,
notes, and time signatures, as well as to introduce them to applications such as singing, playing some
instruments, listening to recordings, reading, writing, and creating music..

The Art Program engages students in Philippine art, culture, and tradition by teaching them how to
appreciate the diversity of our local artists, arts, crafts, and indigenous materials in order to
strengthen their Filipino identity before being introduced to the art of other countries.

Physical education seeks to develop children to be physically strong, well-balanced, mentally aware
and active, and emotionally controlled and well-balanced. Each year level is participating in a unique
fitness program, such as sports like basketball, volleyball, chess, dancing, and other extra-curricular
activities.

Health Education is intended to keep pupils informed about health concerns and difficulties. Lessons
on Health Assessment, Proper Hygiene, First Aid, Drugs and Substance Abuse, Mental Health,
Communicable and Non-communicable Diseases, Alternative Medicine, Nutrition, and Fitness. All of
them try to encourage students to live a healthy lifestyle.
