CCNAv7 ITN Skills Assessment (Packet Tracer)

Topology

Assessment Objectives
Part 1: Draw topology using a Packet Tracer (15 points)
Part 2: Configure Device IP address and Security Settings (48 points)
Part 3: Test and Verify IPv4 and IPv6 End-to-End Connectivity (13 points)
Part 4: Use the IOS CLI to Gather Device Information (24 points)

Scenario
In this Skills Assessment (SA) you will configure the devices in a small network. You must configure a router,
switch and PCs to support both IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity. You will test and document the network using
common CLI commands.

Required Resources
● 1 Router (Cisco 4321 with Cisco IOS Release 15.xx universal image or comparable)

● 1 Switch (Cisco 2960 with Cisco IOS Release 15.xx) lanbasek9 image or comparable)

● 2 PCs

● Ethernet cables as shown in the topology

Instructions

a. Use the following IP addressing table for configuration:

Subnet A Subnet B
IP Address 192.168.1.0/24 192.168.2.0/24

Gateway 192.168.1.1/24 192.168.2.1/24

Part 3: Test and Verify End-to-End Connectivity Total points: 13

Use the ping command to test IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity between all network devices.
Note: If pings to host computers fail, temporarily disable the computer firewall and retest.
Use the following table to methodically verify connectivity with each network device. Take corrective action to
establish connectivity if a test fails:
