Hydraulic pump, checking and adjusting max working pressure

Op nbr 913-004

11666051 Pressure gauge

14290266 Hose

This method also includes required tools and times for the following jobs:

 191 Service positions

CAUTION
The hydraulic oil should be at operating temperature 20-40°C.

1. Place the machine in service position, see 191 Service positions.

4. Connect 14290266 Hose to 11666051 Pressure gauge.

NOTICE
The hose must always be installed on the pressure gauge before the hose is connected to the pressure check connection.

5. Connect the hose to pressure check connection M2 on the steering and dumping valve, see
910 Pressure check connections, description.

WARNING
Do not remain under the machine when the engine is running.

WARNING
Risk of burns! Use protective work gloves.

6. Loose the lock nuts on the max. pressure valves on pump P1 and P2, and turn down the pressure by turning the adjusting
screws counter-clockwise ½ turn.
Clockwise = higher pressure
Counter-clockwise = lower pressure

7. Start the engine and maintain an engine speed of min. 1,200 rpm. Turn the steering wheel to the left, against the steering
joint lock.

8. Check the pressure on pump P3.

Correct max. pressure: 25.0 ±0.4 MPa (250 ±4 bar) (3626 ±58 psi)

9. When required, adjust the pressure on the max. pressure valve on pump P3.

WARNING
Do not remain under the machine when the engine is running.

10. Start the engine, turn the steering wheel to the left and check the pressure once again. Repeat the procedure until the correct
pressure is obtained.

11. Adjust the pressure on the max. pressure valve on P1 as follows; pass the pressure for P3 and then go back to the correct
pressure.

12. Adjust the pressure on the max. pressure valve on P2 by passing the pressure for P1 and P3, and then go back to the correct
pressure.

13. Tighten the lock nut.

14. Remove hose pressure gauge from pressure check connection M2.

15. Fit the underbody skid plates and disconnect the steering joint lock.
