Epoxy System LR625 VIP/Laminating: Description
VIP/Laminating
DESCRIPTION
LR 625 is a low viscosity epoxy system designed for the fabrication of parts and structures by infusion,
vacuum bag and wet lay-up method.
Good behavior on Glass fiber and Carbon fiber impregnation and bonding.
The mixed viscosity with hardener allows the material to flow very well, even in thin walled areas. It
penetrates heavy fabric sections and wets out quickly for further ease of production.
PROPERTIES
*Low viscosity
* Long pot life (90min for 100 ml at ambient), ample processing time allows production of big objects.
* suitable infusion.
* Good strength and toughness.

PROCESSING CONDITIONS
This Epoxy System cure completely at room temperature, if required. At this point in the cure,
the bag and infusion materials can be removed from the laminate and the part can be sanded
or trimmed as required. Full cure will be achieved in 4 to 6 days at normal room temperature. A
heat cure will shorten the curing time of System LR625 . In situations where the laminate can be
placed in an oven after a room temperature gel, curing times of 4 to 8 hours at 80°C or 10 to 12
hours at 65°C will provide 90% of full cured properties.
If necessary, warm and stir until uniform.
HANDLING PRECAUTIONS
Normal health and safety precautions should be observed when handling these products:
*ensure good ventilation
*wear gloves, safety glasses and waterproof clothes.
STORAGE CONDITIONS
*Epoxy System LR625 is slightly hygroscopic and should be stored at room temperature in conditions such that
moisture is excluded, in the original containers kept tightly closed. Under these conditions the shelf life
should be a minimum of one years from date of certification.
Keep in @22-30°C & humidity<50%
