I. TOPIC FEELINGS

Good day my dear pupils! Are you excited for our lesson today? I welcome you to our LAS, for
today’s lesson is all about expressing positive feelings in appropriate ways. Let us dive into our
discussion and activities.

II. LEARNING OBJECTIVES


Let us begin our journey for today’s target; In the activity, you will be able to:
Expressing positive feelings in appropriate ways and explaining the benefits of healthy
expressions of feelings
Demonstrate positive ways of expressing negative feelings, such as anger, fear, or
disappointment and display respect for the feelings of others

III. PRELIMINARIES
First, let us discuss about why do we have feelings. Watch this video to learn about feelings.

IV. LEARNING ACTIVITIES

Feelings or Emotions
A feeling or emotion is something that people express naturally. These feelings may be
expressed through words or actions.
Observe the pictures below.

Feeling or emotion may also be shown through facial expressions or through body
language.
These are some of the feelings that one may experience:
1. Happiness
2. Fear
3. Sadness
4. Hunger
Emotions that are good

When you are happy, surprised, or excited, share the


good news to your parents, or other members of your
family.

with other people who are close to you.

You can share it maybe to your teacher, to your


parents or grandparents, or to your friends

Emotions that you have to overcome or change

You need to tell someone if you are sad, worried, or afraid.

You have to express these


feelings to someone so you may
feel better.

POSITIVE EXPRESSION OF FEELINGS


You need to express your feelings…
 For your family to understand you.
 So that family members will know if what they did is wrong or right.
 So that your family can express themselves too

You can express your feelings,


 Properly and respectfully
 With love and care

Meanwhile, you should also respect others’ feelings.


Example 1. When your mother gets mad because you did not follow her instructions
You say, “Sorry, please forgive me. I will not do it again.”
Example 2. When your sibling is feeling down and sad
You comfort and encourage him or her.

V. SELF-ASSESTMENT
Directions: Read each situation carefully and choose the best way to express positive
feelings. Circle the letter of the answer that you think is right.
1. Your friend shares a yummy snack with you at lunchtime. How can you show your positive
feelings?
a) Tell your friend you don't like the snack.
b) Smile and say, "Thank you! This is so tasty!"
c) Look away and don't say anything.
2. You win a game during recess. What's a good way to show your excitement?
a) Sit down and look sad.
b) Jump up and down, saying, "I won! I won!"
c) Pretend like nothing happened.
3. Your teacher gives you a sticker for doing great work. How can you express your happiness?

a) Tell your teacher you don't want the sticker.


b) Say, "Wow, thank you! I'm really happy about this sticker!"
c) Hide the sticker in your bag.
4. You notice your classmate feeling sad. How can you express kindness?
a) Laugh at your classmate.
b) Go over and ask, "Are you okay? Do you want to talk?"
c) Ignore your classmate and keep playing
5. Your family has a special dinner together. What's a nice way to express your gratitude?
a) Say, "I don't like this food."
b) Say, "Thank you, Mom and Dad, for making this delicious dinner!"
c) Leave the table without saying anything.
6. Your friend shows you a drawing they made. How can you express your positive feelings?
a) Tell your friend their drawing is bad.
b) Say, "Wow, your drawing is amazing! I love it!"
c) Ignore your friend and walk away
VI. SUMMARY
Expressing one’s emotion is good for the health. Laughter or being happy makes you
healthy. So, keep on laughing ang being happy and stay positive all the time.
Have you heard of the lines, “Laughter is the best medicine”?
Think about it, when you’re laughing, and feeling happy, how does this make you feel inside?
Why is it important to keep yourself in the company of happy people?
Happiness is contagious and, when encouraged, can spread throughout an entire family
member or to others.
