New Initiatives and Promotional Schemes – PNG
 Customer initiatives
• Introduction of various promotional schemes to boost
registration, especially in gasified buildings such as Shubh Labh
scheme
• Launching of uploading self-meter reading and bill generation
services
• Multiple digital payment modes
 Sales initiatives
• Introduction of various incentive schemes to boost registration,
especially in gasified buildings such as Peak 70 and Udaan.
• For both gasified and non-gasified buildings “Mera Target Meri
Gaadi”
• Introducing Sales Team Management App for better monitoring
of marketing agencies
 Receivables Management
• Introduction of new payment modes such as Pay by Link and QR
code
• Start of outbound calling to augment collections in non-due
segment

 Industrial & Commercial Marketing

• Migrated eligible customers into new pricing policy
• Signed ~60000 SCMD of Volume in FY 23 under new pricing
policy
5
AMR in Industrial and Commercials with MRS

• Metering & Regulating Systems (MRS) are

installed in I&C customer premises which are
installed with base mechanical meters and
electronic volume correctors (EVC) for
metering purpose

• MGL has installed GPRS modems in MRS

which fetch the EVC data to MGL central
server. OKO
make
• MGL has AIUT OKO GPRS modems installed GPRS
with EVCs of make Itron, Teclab modem
AMR in Commercial A & B
• Commercial A & B converted to AMR through either of the following ways:
– Replacement of diaphragm meters with smart meters
– Installing the existing diaphragm meters with meter interface unit (MIU)

• Diaphragm meters with G size 1.6 have been replaced with either smart diaphragm
meters (1400 nos.) or smart thermal mass meters (100 nos.)

• Smart meter makes in MGL:

– AIUT make smart diaphragm meters

– MeterSit make smart thermal mass

meters
Domestic AMR
• Domestic diaphragm meters are being fit
with the LoRa based MIUs in order to
enable AMR for these customers.

• The pilot of 7000 nos. of meters was

completed.

Future Plans - AMR Implementation

• Diaphragm meters in commercial
customers with G size 2.5 and above are
proposed to be fitted with GPRS/LoRa
based MIUs for enabling AMR.

• The pilot on domestic customers is planned

to be extended to the entire domestic
customer base.
Challenges - AMR Implementation

• Economics

• Network Issues

• Limited number of solution providers

• Large Volume of customers

• Issues with logistics and availability of electronic components owing to the pandemic
and war situation

• Non-uniformity of software for different make of meters

PROJECTS

10
Project Highlights
• Conversion of first Commercial-A Customer (M/s SWAD Restaurant ) at
Ulwe area in GA-III on 07.07.2022
• Commissioning of DRS in Badlapur MIDC East (DRS no -143) which enabled
Looping of DRS 143 with DRS 136 (Addl Ambernath MIDC DRS) in
Sep’2022.
• Completed Augur boring job for railway crossing at New Panvel and
ensuring gas availability for Domestic customers in New Panvel area in
Aug’2022.
• First Domestic Conversion successfully completed in Karanjade area of KPT
zone (GA-II) on 14.10.2022.
• Highest ever connectivity number (LIV) in a single month! In November
2022, we achieved 34,207 connectivity number (LIV). The earlier highest
LIV number was 33,396 achieved in March 2022.
• Fastest ever Connectivity of 2,00,000 numbers on 18th Dec’2022.
• CGS Savroli- CNG/LNG facility technically completed. Expected
commissioning by 31st Dec’2022.
• Completion of critical pipeline connectivity at IIT powai. This would
facilitate security of supply between Eastern and Western parts of
Mumbai city i.e. Vikhroli - Goregaon looping.
Project Highlights
 Commissioning of STEEL LINE FROM PAYADE HOTEL, MIRA ROAD TO DRS
104, BHAYANDER WEST AREA- This ensured,
Commissioned 8” NB & 6” NB steel line – 2120 mtrs,
Replacement of DRS 104,
CWIP liquidation of Approx. Rs. 1.5 Crores more than 7 years old.

 ULWE RAILWAY CROSSING JOB-

Augur boring job to lay 2 Nos. casing of 18” and 12” was commenced from 15th
Oct’22 and got successfully completed in first week of Dec’22. This will pave way
for a new CNG station in Sec-2 along with a domestic front of approx.14000 Nos
in Ulwe area.

 STEEL NETWORK CONNECTIVITY UPTO RASAYANI MIDC-

Laying and commissioning of GAIL pipeline having length of approx. 550 mtrs
from GAIL SV01 to CGS Savroli including hookup with tapping point inside GAIL
SV station.

 CONNECTIVITY BETWEEN CGS TALOJA AND CGS SAVROLI:

Laying of steel pipeline network from CGS Savroli to Khalapur Naka (old Mumbai
Pune Highway- NH4) for the length of 4.1 Kms including crossing of Patalganga
River of span 200 mtr. and critical road crossing near Khalapur Village of span
323 mtrs. Network is tested and ready for commissioning.
