1.Overview
Thank you for using the BK2000 governor test bench. The BK2000 governor test
bench is developed by our company’s engineers and technicians with ten years of
governor maintenance experience. Its excellent working performance, compact structure
and low price will become One of the platforms for you to check, detect and adjust the
performance of the governor.
2. Basic knowledge required to read this manual

If you have a certain knowledge and experience of governor maintenance theory, then
you will be able to better understand the content of this manual.
3. Scope of application
This manual is applicable to the BK2000 governor test stand, and its content covers
the product information, governor installation and commissioning, daily maintenance
and other information on the BK2000 governor test stand.
In order to use the speed governor test bench correctly, please read this manual
carefully in advance and keep it properly for later use.
4. Unpacking inspection
When unpacking, please confirm:

Chapter 1 Safety and Precautions

1.Security definition
In this manual, safety precautions are divided into the following two categories:
Due to the danger caused by not operating as required, it may cause serious injuries or

injuries, and equipment damage or property damage.
1.1 Safety matters

Before the first installation, use or maintenance:
Before using, moving or maintaining this test bench for the first time, the usershould
carefully read this manual and related publicationsin advance, otherwise there is a
danger of personal injury or death, equipment damage, or property loss.
1.2 When external power supply

Please pay attention to the maintenance of this product by trained and authorized
professionals as required. This product should be kept away from combustible or
explosive materials, otherwise it may cause fire and electric shock.

A circuit breaker must be installed between the test bench and the power supply, and a
leakage protection switch must be installed, otherwise a fire alarm may occur.
Please make sure that the power supply is off before wiring. Otherwise there is a
danger of electric shock! Please ground according to the standard requirements.

Do not let wire heads, screws, etc. fall into the test bench, otherwise it may cause
damage to the test
bench!
1.3 Before starting

Please check whether there is a short circuit in the peripheral circuit. Otherwise, it
may cause the test bench to malfunction.
The speed adjustment knob of the control box of the test bench must be turned
counterclockwise to the end, the doors of the test bench have been closed, and the
governor has been tightened as required. Otherwise, it may cause electric shock,
accidents, and damage to the equipment.
It is forbidden to insert the drive coupling or coupling joint into the spline teeth of the
speed measuring gear when the governor is not connected.
1.4 Before running

After pressing the motor start button of the control box, you must wait for the
indicator light of the motor start button to light up before performing other operations,
otherwise the equipment may be damaged.
Do not change the parameters of the test bench, otherwise it may cause damage to the
equipment.

1.5 Running
Please pay attention to the danger of injury from rotation of the running output end of
the test bench. Do not open the back cover to touch the instruments and connectors.
Otherwise, it may cause electric shock or burns.
Non-professionals should not maintain or detect signals during operation. Otherwise,
it may cause personal injury or equipment damage.
During the operation of the test bench, avoid anything falling into the equipment,
otherwise it will cause damage to the equipment.
1.6 When shutting down

When shutting down, you must turn the speed control knob on the control box
counterclockwise to the end before pressing the motor stop button on the control box,
otherwise the motor may rotate immediately when the main power switch is turned on
next time, causing equipment damage.
Please turn the switches to the "off" position, otherwise, all parts of the main power
switch will act immediately, which may cause accidents.
1.7 During maintenance

Before maintaining the test bench, it must be ensured that the power supply or the
electric control device has been reliably cut off. The electric control device contains
the static electricity part, and the static electricity must be discharged before protecting
the maintenance equipment (for the power supply that has been turned off, keep the
grounding when maintaining the control system.) Otherwise, there is a risk of electric
shock.

2.4 Product transportation, receipt and storage

The test bench is shipped with a wooden transport base and a shipping box to protect
the test bench during transportation. Spare parts, installation chassis and related
materials are placed in the box. The weight of the BK2000 test bench is about 350 kg.
The test bench and the test bench base can be moved by a forklift at a close distance,
and a soft suspension sling and crane must be used for lifting.
Open the transport box of the test bench in the order of top, front, left, and right.
It is forbidden to lift the test bench by lifting the control panel. The hydraulic
devices, electronic control devices, and meters are easy to touch the control panel

and get injured. You must be careful.
The test bench is intact when it leaves the factory. When receiving the goods, pay
attention to check whether the outside of the test bench is damaged, check whether each
instrument is damaged during transportation, and whether the quantity in the box is
accurate.
If the test bench needs to be stored for a period of time (more than 6 months), in
order to prevent the governor test bench from being corroded or rusted, the governor
must be cleaned, and the positioning flange of the test bench must be coated with anti
rust oil. Cover with plastic film. Place a certain amount of desiccant (moisture absorbent)
in an appropriate place and store in a cool, dry, and moderate temperature environment.
2.5 Product installation requirements

After the test bench is taken out from the transportation base, remove the corner bolts
from the box and install them in the corresponding position, and adjust the water
balance of the test bench. The test bench must be installed on a hard floor such as
concrete. The floor must be oil- proof to prevent hydraulic oil from splashing. Out. The
minimum ground area required for the placement and operation of the test bench is 1.2m
X 1.2m. It is recommended that there be more space before and after the test bench. The
place where the test bench is placed should be well-lit, and the room temperature should
be suitable and constant. It is forbidden to place plastic, vinyl,
and foamed polystyrene (except anti-static) products around it.
Because some speed governors are sensitive to temperature, too high ambient
temperature changes may cause the speed governor calibration accuracy to be reduced

or unable to be calibrated.
Slowly add new clean working oil for governor from the oil return port of the test
bench to the oil tank until the oil level is in the middle of the oil dipstick on the right
side of the test bench. Normally the oil level should be kept at the middle position of the
oil dipstick. The BK2000 test bench requires three- phase (380V/50 or 60 Hz magnetic)
four-wire power supply. The brown, gray, black, and green wires of the test bench must
be separated from each other. Connected to the A, B, C, N terminal of a power switch
with leakage protection (purchased by the user), and the yellow-green ground wire is
reliably grounded.
The fuel tank must be refueled before running the test bench. The rotation of the
test bench motor must be consistent with the direction on the motor forward and
reverse selection switch on the control box panel. The oil pump and motor cooling
fan must rotate in the correct direction. Otherwise, the equipment may be
damaged or unable to work!
2.6 Basic features of BK2000 test bench

BK2000 type test bench is equipped with oil pressure supply (oil temperature control),
speed control (clockwise/counterclockwise, 30-2500 rpm stepless speed regulation),
output feedback (closed loop control), stabilized power supply, air pressure The
controlled universal governor test bench is used to test most types of governors
produced by Woodward and other companies.
The BK2000 governor test bench has no air pressure supply device and no steady
current power supply device. If you want to test the air pressure device or steady current
power supply device on the governor, you need to provide the air pressure source to the

2.7 Application range of BK2000 test bench

The BK2000 governor test bench is a kind of reverse adjustment far away from the
prime mover such as engine or turbine.
It is a kind of governor test equipment for convenient testing and accurate correction
of governor parameters. It can test UG-8, UG-32, UG-40, 3161, PG (with standard base
and drive shaft) produced by Woodward. ), PG-EG, EGB 200, 300, P G500, SG, PSG,
EGB-2, EGB-58, LSG-10, PG-PH, EG-3, EG-10, TG-13 type speed governor and
Non-Woodward governors and actuators such as EUROPA, RHD6, TY111, and TY555.

The governor test bench is not an engine or a turbine, and users cannot expect the
governor test bench to replace the turbine or engine that ultimately determines the
performance of the governor. The reason is that it is impossible for any governor test
bench to provide exactly the same driving torque, driving torque, coupling method,
turbocharging effect, acceleration and deceleration effect, and connecting rod group
control characteristics of the engine or turbine. Therefore, it is normal that the
performance of the same governor installed on the engine or turbine and installed on
the test bench may be different.
However, the governor test bench can provide a quick and convenient way to test
and adjust the governor as the final device in the engine or turbine. The user of the
governor test bench can carefully and completely test the variable parameters such as
pressure, speed, stop, load limit and speed regulation on the test bench for a certain
period of time before the governor is installed on the engine or turbine. , Adjustment or
setting. Practice has proved that, in most cases, the governor set on the test bench
according to the factory parameters of the governor can be installed on the engine or
turbine to obtain satisfactory results.
2.8 Main composition and function of BK2000 speed governor test bench
The BK2000 governor test bench is mainly composed of three parts: instrument
panel, operation control box, and workbench. As shown in Figure 2-1.

5、Speed adjustment knob When the "motor start button" indicator light is on, adjust

6、Motor start button This button is used to determine whether the motor starts
or not. This button is valid only after the indicator light on
the main power switch is on for 2 seconds. 6 seconds after
pressing the button, its indicator light turns on and lights up.

7、Motor stop button The button that determines whether the motor stops.
When using it, it is recommended to turn the speed
control knob counterclockwise to the end to stop the
motor before pressing it. After pressing down the knob
and its indicator light is on, the speed adjustment knob is
invalid.
8. Motor forward and Decide whether the motor rotates clockwise or
reverse selection switch counterclockwise. When the motor is running, it is invalid
to move this switch, and the motor direction is effective
only after the parking button is pressed.

2.8.3 Work bench

The workbench is located at the bottom of the test bench. Its function is to connect,
install and drive the governor. It provides adjustable 0MP∽0.8MP and pressure oil
from room temperature to 100 degrees Celsius. The test bench workbench and the right
accessories of the workbench are shown in Figure 2-5:

2.8. 4 Product attachment

UGTS-5000 governor test bench accessories are described as follows:
2.8.4.1 Air pressure control device

The air pressure control device is located on the left side of the instrument panel,
and its function is to provide control air pressure to the governor in need after
connecting the air pressure source. The maximum air pressure should not exceed
200PSI, use 2 barometers, and the reading accuracy is 0.05%.

2.8.4.2 DC power supply device

The power supply range of the DC power supply device is 0∽120 volts, and the power
supply stability is ≤0.01%±2mV, which can be adjusted in increments or decrements of
0.1 volts, and has an automatic short-circuit protection function. When using, first turn

2.8.4.3 EG actuator detection device
The EG actuator detection device is only used for current detection, and the
current source is provided by the user to adjust the output stroke of the actuator. Usage
steps: (1) Input the steady current power supply, turn on the power switch (2) of the GE
actuator detection device, adjust the speed setting (current adjustment) knob (5), and
achieve the desired purpose through the switch (4). The EG actuator detection device is
shown in Figure 2-7, and its internal circuit schematic diagram is shown in Figure 2-8:

Chapter 3 Instructions for Use

1 Installation of governor on the test bench
This chapter takes the common governor produced by Woodward Governor
Company of the United States as an example, and introduces the test method of
governor on the governor test bench.
Table 3-1 contains diagrams of the electrical, gas, and liquid connection ports of
several common governors or actuators of Woodward Company. Users can connect the
connection ports of the governor to the test bench according to the corresponding
diagrams.

Figure 3-9 shows the size of each governor base and the connection diagram of
each governor installed on the governor test bench using positioning flanges, drive
couplings, and coupling joints to the test bench. For ease of use, This table is silk-
printed on the dashboard panel of the governor test bench. There are corresponding
numbers on the positioning flange, drive shaft coupling, and drive shaft joint. Figure 3-8
shows the outline drawing of part of the positioning flange, drive coupling and coupling
joint. The user can select the corresponding connection method according to Figure 3-9.
For example, PG type speed governor (drive shaft diameter 0.625 inches/spline), its
connection adopts the positioning flange part number T2101, the drive coupling part
number T2203 and the drive shaft joint part number T2304. The governor is fixed on the

2.Operation and simple operation of the test bench

Select the correct positioning flange, drive coupling and drive shaft joint according to
the base of the governor and the type of spline or key, fix the governor on the test bench
with a clamp, and measure the pressure of the governor’s working oil The port is
connected to the left oil pipe joint of the test bench to display the internal oil pressure of
the governor under test. The oil pipe connected to the throttle valve of the test bench on
the right hand side is the joint for the test bench to supply oil to the governor, which can
be used to adjust the speed. When supplying oil to the governor, set the oil pressure first
(displayed on the corresponding oil pressure gauge). The oil pressure is adjusted by the

pressure regulating valve on the right hand side of the test bench. The oil passes through
the The screen mesh holes flow into the oil drain groove on the workbench and flow
back to the oil tank. When testing SG, PSG and other types of speed governors, the oil
drain pipe of the speed increase should be led to the oil return port of the test bench to
drain oil.
The gain knob is set at a certain position, and the speed control knob is set at the
end of the counterclockwise direction. Press the green button of the main power supply
of the test bench. After the indicator light on the main power switch of the test bench
lights up for five seconds, gently press the green start button of the motor. After the start
button indicator lights up, slowly rotate the speed control knob to make the drive motor
start to rotate or digital display. The meter displays the speed when the fuel supply is at
the position of the minimum fuel supply. Check and adjust the speed governor according
to the original test procedure of the corresponding governor. When the test is over or
when leaving the test bench, turn the speed control knob to the end counterclockwise.

be debugged on the governor test bench, but tested. Debugging and testing are two
different concepts. The first one is to adjust the situation that has been messed up and
adjust it according to the provided data; the latter is to test the existing technical data of
the governor through the test bench. The original data. If there is no technical data for
the governor, it is recommended not to disassemble the governor, but to test on the
governor test bench. It should be noted that it was disassembled from the engine, and
the oil used in the fuselage is dirty. Never allow dirty and old oil to be poured into the
governor test bench.
(2)Regardless of debugging or testing, the governor should be fixed on the workbench
on the governor test bench.
(3)Connect the electrical, gas, and liquid interfaces of the governor to the corresponding
interfaces on the test bench (refer to the oil pressure interface shown in Figures 3-1 to
3-7 for the governor category).
(4) If it is debugging work, the oil in the oil tank of the test bench can be injected
into the governor, or the oil after the governor has been used can be injected into the test
bench; if it is a test work, the oil in the test bench can be injected into the regulator. In
the governor, but not allow the governor oil to be poured into the test bench. In short, it
is absolutely necessary to ensure that the governor test bench is clean.
(5)If the governor is temporarily blocked with plastic plugs, it should be removed
and replaced with steel plugs.
(6) When shifting the governor stroke, use a plate with fine spline holes to cover
the output shaft of the governor.

Chapter 4 Care and Maintenance

1. Care and maintenance
The maintenance and maintenance of the test bench is one of the important tasks
to ensure the accuracy of the test bench, improve the utilization rate of the test bench,
and reduce maintenance costs.
2. Contents of care and maintenance

2.1 Work bench
The oil drain of the workbench is connected to the fuel tank. When adjusting or
testing the governor on the governor test bench, oil often leaks from the governor. If the
workbench is not clean, the dirty things are easy to leak out. The oil flows into the fuel
tank of the governor test bench, making the fuel tank dirty. Therefore, the workbench of
the governor test bench should be kept clean and the screen should be cleaned
frequently.
2.2 Dash board

The instrument panel is the place where the test bench is prone to problems.
According to the usage, the user can conduct a regular inspection of the instrument
panel every six months to eliminate hidden troubles. Routine inspection content:
(1) Whether the terminal screws of each instrument in the instrument panel are loose,
tighten them with a screwdriver of appropriate size;
(2) Whether there is oil leakage in the hydraulic meter joint;
(3) Whether the control wire is damaged;
(4) Use a qualified megohmmeter for insulation test.
2.3 Drive motor

The maximum speed of the drive motor of the BK2000 governor test bench is
2500 rpm. It can be continuously variable, and it can also rotate forward and reverse.
The operation method is controlled by the operation control box (see Chapter 2). The
drive motor has been well protected in the circuit, and generally there will be no
problems. The probe for measuring speed is magnetic frequency induction. It is placed
at the place opposite to the speed measuring gear of the drive motor. The gap between
the probe end and the tooth tip is adjusted between 0.2-0.5mm. It is not necessary to
adjust this item if it has been adjusted. When powering on the test bench for the first
time, pay attention to that the rotation direction of the motor should be consistent with
the direction indicated by the motor forward and reverse selection switch on the control

2.5 Tank
The fuel tank of the BK2000 speed gear test bench has a capacity of 26 liters
(approximately 5 gallons). When refueling, slowly pour clean oil into the oil return port

door of the test bench, be careful not to allow screws, wires, etc. to enter the inverter. As
long as the test bench is used below 40 degrees Celsius, there is generally no problem in

capacitors, but usually the service life of fans and electrolytic capacitors is usually 3-4

2.7 Oil tank oil heater

There are two groups of independently working heaters in the oil tank, each group has a
power of 1 kilowatt, and the operating voltage is 220V\50HZ. The oil temperature
controller is installed at the back of the gas-loaded control device, which can control the
heater power supply within the range of 0-100 degrees Celsius to turn off at the set
value. After the oil temperature reaches the temperature set by the oil temperature
controller, if the heater switch is still in the "on" position, when the oil temperature is
lower than the temperature set by the oil temperature controller, the heater turns on and
the oil temperature rises to the oil temperature The temperature set by the controller.
Always pay attention to the oil level of the fuel tank of the governor test bench. If the oil
level is too low, fill it up immediately, because the heater will burn out if the fuel tank is
short of oil. The oil temperature probe is in the oil tank, and the control switch of the oil
temperature heater is on the instrument panel.
2.8 Oil filter

The oil filter of the oil tank of the governor test bench is installed in the oil tank and

needs to be replaced immediately according to the situation. All the oil that needs to be
put into the fuel tank must be clean oil that meets the working requirements of the
governor (when you are sure to use a certain brand of oil, do not add other oils to cause
the oil to deteriorate; if you want to update, you must clean the fuel tank And replace the
filter paper).
2.9 Electrical wiring

Figure 3-1 is the circuit schematic diagram of the BK2000 speed governor test bench,
which is for reference only, generally do not move it. The most common problem is
that the AC contactor makes a "buzzing" sound and the fuse is burned out. The AC
contactor makes a "buzzing" sound because the armature of the AC contactor is not
closed. Just press the main power switch (see Figure 2-3). ) On the "off" button, and
then press the "on" button, generally can be eliminated, the fuse is burned (if the fuse is
burned, the fault light on the fuse is on, and the fuse of the DC power supply device on

burn is overload (or excessive resistance caused by external influence on the rotating
part) and a short circuit caused by damage to a certain part of the outer skin on the line.

and run for half an hour every six months to prevent failure of various parts of the test
bench, especially electronic components.

2.10 Oil pump motor unit

When installing the power supply of the test bench for the first time, pay attention to the
direction of rotation of the oil pump motor unit, or the direction of rotation is incorrect,
just change the phase sequence of the source power supply.
Generally, the oil pump motor unit will not be damaged. If the effect is found to be
reduced, the coarse filter should be replaced immediately.
2.11 Oil pressure gauge

If the oil pressure gauge is used in accordance with its scope of use, it will generally not
malfunction, but it is not allowed to exceed its pressure allowable range.
3.Warranty description
