Pre-requisites for Extension of Aircraft Rating - AUW > 5700 Kgs
For Extension of rating request, following pre-requisites are essential to
successfully processing the request

• Applicant must have valid Private pilot /Commercial Pilot/ Airline


Transport pilot’s license.

• Passing of written examination of Aircraft and Engines (Technical


specific) and performance conducted by CEO (where applicable).

• Applicant must have the required Examination details for this


service if training has been undertaken in “Foreign/ Indian ATO”.

In case of any Discrepancies in Basic and Medical Examination details, User shall use the update license
details option and submit for validation by DGCA. For Updating Personal particulars (Name and DOB) user
shall avail update Personal Particulars option through DMS.

Upon confirmation of Basic details, Examination Details, Medical Examination Details and License Details
then fills the form of Extension of Rating greater than 5700 Kg

Once User validates all their Details, User proceed for Category of License : Aeroplane /Helicopter.

• User proceed for applying “Extension of Rating greater than 5700 Kg” and selects “Endorsement Type Required” as
“P2”.

• User either selects “Is Renewal of Current Licence required?” as “Yes” or “No” and according to that the “fees” will be
auto-populated in the application form.

• In “Written Exam” user can either selects “ATO” or “CEO”

In “Written Exam” user can either selects “ATO” or “CEO” and if user selects “ATO” choose the
aircraft on which endorsement is being sought.

• For Endorsement of Aircraft, Click and ADD Extension of Aircraft Rating

• Instrument Rating and Open Rating can be added by choosing the respective option and clicking ADD button.

User selects “Training Type”, “Quantum of Training” and upload the documents in ‘Jet Induction Training' field and
the same need to be added in the list by Clicking on ADD button

User selects “Date” and Hours in “Ground Training” and the same need to be added in the list by Clicking
on ADD button. And “Upload “Ground training Report”

User fills the “Other Details” section. If user selects “Yes “ in “Involvement In Accident/Incident” then he/she
fills “Details Of Accident/Incident” and upload “clearance certificate from Competent Authority” and if user
select “No” then he/she upload “Accident/incident free Certificate”.

“Remarks” column and upload the details. And User selects either Permanent or Correspondence Address to
receive physical copy of License.

After Submission the application form, the application will re-directed to Bharatkosh payment gateway
and after payment is successful, the generated Payment receipt will visible to Portal.

Bharatkosh Payment Gateway

• After submission of the application form online, applicant will be redirected to payment gateway
(Bharatkosh) where he / she has to pay the fees amount for the service requested.
• The candidate shall make the payment by using All Indian Credit Cards/ Debit Cards (Except Diners Club
Card) /Internet Banking of banks through any of the Payment Gateways available within 48 hours of the
submission.
• The payment via American Express Credit Card (AMEX) can be made through SBI e-pay payment
gateway.
• Please note that your application process is complete only on successful transaction of fee payment and
receipt of the same on portal. Further, the candidate will get a notification on his / her Mobile and
Email of receipt number after successful submission of application and payment. The date of
submission to DGCA shall be the date on which the above entire process is completed and received by
DGCA.

List of Original Documents to be sent in original to DGCA

1. All original documents provided by the ATO for Extension of Aircraft Rating with or without IR in accordance with Para 4 of CAR
Section VII, Series B, Part XIX.
2. RTR issued by WPC, Ministry of Telecommunication
3. Other licenses issued by DGCA(e.g. CPL, PPL, FRTOL, ATPL etc.)

Summary

• User visits the eGCA portal and logs-in using eGCA ID and password.
• User selects the “Issuance of ATPL” under “Services” Section from Left side panel.
• Prior to Apply for Issuance of ATPL, User reads and understands the Instruction page, User Manual.
• User verifies their Basic details, CEO Examination Details, Medical Examination Details and License Details then fills the form
of Issuance of ATPL.
• In case of any Discrepancies in Basic and Medical Examination details, User shall use the update license details option and
submit for validation by DGCA. For Updating Personal particulars (Name and DOB) user shall avail update Personal
Particulars option through DMS.
• After Submission the application form, the application will re-directed to Bharatkosh payment gateway and after payment is
successful, the generated Payment receipt will visible to Portal.
