Participation terms
Who can participate Eye care professionals (including doctors, ophthalmic photographers, and clinical & technical support
personnel)
Who can’t participate The jury, current and former Haag-Streit personnel, and Haag-Streit distributors are excluded from
the competition
Winning criteria The best slit lamp image based on image quality, technical execution, and disease interest
Who is in the jury Haag-Streit imaging specialists
How many images per Maximum 4

Image size, format and  Minimum size 1200x1600 pixels at 300 dpi
ratio  File format JPEG, PNG or TIFF
 Ratio 4:3
 Editing – Only adjustments to contrast and brightness. Any post processing should not alter
the clinical aspects of the image. Cropping to improve the composition is permitted but the
format ratio should remain 4:3
Labeling the image Images must be labelled in the file name with contestant last name and name followed by
submission number of the picture, example: DoeJohn1, DoeJohn2…

Rules & regulations

Legal aspects  The participant must certify and warrant that the submitted image(s) do(es) not violate the
rights of a 3rd party or any copyright
 Haag-Streit is not responsible for intellectual property violations that might have
resulted from the submissions of the images
 The contestant shall not include the identification of the patient(s) whom the images were
taken
 By submitting their images to the Haag-Streit «Slit Lamp Imaging Competition 2023»,
participants agree to grant Haag-Streit the worldwide and timely unlimited right to use the
pictures free of charge on their websites, social media channels, marketing materials and in
media related to the field of ophthalmology
 If the format allows it (e.g., in communication about the imaging competition or when used as
wallpaper), chosen entries will include the imagers name and institution if we use it for re-
production. If the format does not allow it (e.g., in advertisement related to Haag-Streit imaging
systems), chosen entries will not include the imagers name and institution when used for
reproduction.
 The jury’s decision is final

sind vom Wettbewerb ausgeschlossen
Kriterien Das beste Spaltlampenbild basierend auf Bildqualität, technischen Ausführung und
Krankheitsinteresse
Wer ist in der Jury Haag-Streit Imaging-Spezialisten
Wie viele Bilder pro Teil- Maximal 4

Bildgrösse, -Format und  Mindestgrösse 1200x1600 Pixel bei 300 dpi
-Verhältnis  Dateiformat JPEG, PNG oder TIFF
 Seitenverhältnis 4:3
 Nachbearbeitung – Nur Anpassungen an Kontrast und Helligkeit. Jede Nachbearbeitung sollte
die klinischen Aspekte des Bildes nicht verändern. Das Zuschneiden zur Verbesserung des
Bildausschnitts ist zulässig, das Seitenverhältnis muss 4:3 bleiben
Dateinamen Alle Bilder müssen im Dateinamen mit Nachnamen und Namen des Teilnehmers beschriftet
sein, gefolgt von der Einreichungsnummer des Bildes, Beispiel: DoeJohn1, DoeJohn2...

Regeln & Vorschriften  Der Teilnehmer muss bestätigen und garantieren, dass die eingereichten Fotos keine Rechte
Dritter oder Urheberrechte verletzen
 Haag-Streit ist nicht verantwortlich für Verletzungen von geistigem Eigentum, die sich
aus den übermittelten Bildern ergeben
 Die Teilnehmenden Bilder dürfen die Identität des/der Patienten, von dem/denen die Bilder
gemacht wurden, keinesfalls enthalten
 Mit der Einreichung ihrer Bilder bei der Haag-Streit «Spaltlampen-Imaging-Competition 2023»
erklären sich die Teilnehmer damit einverstanden, Haag-Streit das weltweite und zeitlich
unbeschränkte Recht einzuräumen, die Bilder auf ihren Websites, Social-Media-Kanälen,
Marketingmaterialien und in Medien mit Bezug zum Bereich der Augenheilkunde unentgeltlich
zu verwenden
 Wenn das Format es zulässt (z. B. in der Kommunikation über den Bildgebungswettbewerb
oder bei der Verwendung als Hintergrundbild), werden die ausgewählten Beiträge den Namen
und die Institution des Bildgebenden enthalten, wenn wir sie für die Reproduktion verwenden.
Wenn das Format dies nicht zulässt (z. B. in der Werbung für Haag-Streit-
Bildgebungssysteme), werden der Name und die Institution des Bildgebenden nicht
angegeben, wenn sie für die Reproduktion verwendet werden.

 Post-traitements – Réglage du contraste et de la luminosité uniquement. Aucun
post-traitement ne doit altérer les aspects cliniques de l’image. Le recadrage pour amé- liorer la
composition est autorisé, toutefois le rapport de format doit rester de 4:3
Noms d‘images Les images doivent présenter dans le nom de fichier le nom et le prénom du candidat suivi du
numéro de soumission de l‘image, par exemple : DoeJohn1, DoeJohn2...

Règles et Réglementations
Aspects juridiques  Le participant doit confirmer et garantir que les images soumises n‘enfreignent aucun droit
de tiers ou droit d‘auteur
 Haag-Streit n‘est pas responsable des infractions à la propriété intellectuelle résultant des
images reçues
 Les images soumises ne doivent en aucun cas contenir l‘identité du ou des patients dont les
images ont été prises
 En soumettant leurs images au Haag-Streit « Slit Lamp Imaging Competition 2023 », les
participants acceptent d’accorder à Haag-Streit le droit illimité et mondial d’utiliser gratuitement
les images sur leurs sites Web, leurs canaux de médias sociaux, leurs supports marketing et
dans les médias liés au domaine de l’ophtalmologie
 Si le format le permet (par exemple, dans la communication sur le concours d'imagerie ou
lorsqu'elles sont utilisées comme fond d'écran), les œuvres sélectionnées incluront le nom
de l'imageur et de son institution si nous les utilisons pour la reproduction. Si le format ne le
permet pas (par exemple, dans une publicité relative aux systèmes d'imagerie Haag-Streit),
les entrées sélectionnées n'incluront pas le nom de l'imagier et de son institution si elles sont
utilisées pour la reproduction
