    The circulatory system includes the heart, blood vessels (arteries, veins, and capillaries), and blood. The heart pumps blood throughout the body through the blood vessels. It contains red blood cells to carry oxygen, white blood cells to fight infection, platelets to help clotting, and plasma. The arteries carry oxygenated blood away from the heart while veins return deoxygenated blood back to the heart. Capillaries allow for the exchange of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other materials between blood and body cells.

     Platelets produce enzymes to form a net. This net traps other blood cells to form a

     They are red because they mostly contain oxygenated red blood cells
