    Optimal combustion and maximum


    heat transfer by radiation

    The large heating surface of the furnace


    implies an important heat transfer by
    radiation. Consequently the temperature
    of the flue gases is already reduced
    considerably before entering the fire
    tubes.
    This concept does not only reduce the
    load on the tube plate (which assures a
    long life) but also avoids melted ashes
    from sticking to the fire tubes.

    FORCED DRAFT FAN

    The function:

    it supplies the combustion air.


    the primary combustion air through the
    fuel bed, and secondary air through the
    openings in the furnace.

    Combustion regulation
    The combustion is regulated following the
    modulation principle. As long as the
    presented max. Temperature (or
    pressure for steam boiler) is not reached,
    the combustion will go on. The flue gas
    fan and the fuel feeding system continue
    operating. Once the maximum set point
    is reached, the fuel supply with
    deceleration the FD fan will stop and the
    combustion will decrease quickly.

    Combustion in a negative
    pressure has the advantage that
    fire blow back is prevented,
    which obviously increases the
    safety of the opening personnel.
    In principle it is possible to open
    the doors when the installation is
    in normal operation.

    ECONOMIZER

    Economizer is used downstream of Boiler bank to


    preheat the feed water absorbing heat from hot
    exhaust gases.

    Economizers are always water tube type. Bare


    tubes in Economizers are widely used in Industrial
    boilers

    Economizers are retrofitted to many old boilers to


    increase the fuel efficiency of the boiler. Feed
    water can be heated up to a level about 15 - 20 C
    below saturation temperature of the boiler, the
    economizer will save fuel up to 2 ~ 5% at 100%
    load of Boiler.
