Chorus: Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
Walkin', walkin', walkin' down the road.
Walkin', walkin', walkin' down the road. And sorry I could not travel both

I'm going to Jerusalem, walkin' down the road. And be one traveler, long I stood
Peace in my heart, not a care in the world.
And looked down one as far as I could
Chorus
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Along came some robbers, beat me on
the head.
Took all my money, left me for dead. Then took the other, as just as fair,
Chorus And having perhaps the better claim,
Along came a rich man, dressed so fine. Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Stuck his nose in the air, he didn't have
the time. Though as for that the passing there

Chorus Had worn them really about the same,

Along came a poor man with a heart so kind.

He took one look at me and changed his mind.
And both that morning equally lay
Chorus
In leaves no step had trodden black.
He put me on his donkey, took me into town.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
True friend, true friend, couldn't let me down.
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
Fade out: True friend, true friend, couldn't let
me down. I doubted if I should ever come back.
True friend, true friend, couldn't let me down.

True friend, true friend, couldn't let me down. I shall be telling this with a sigh
True friend, true friend, couldn't let me down. Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.
