1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 Scope
1.2 Interfaces
CONTRACTOR shall take care of all external interfaces and formally liase
with COMPANY’s other Contractors in order to exchange all of the
characteristics and data necessary to design and ensure compatibility of his
supplied equipment with other parties' work.
CONTRACTOR shall release all drawings and technical documentation
which are critical for interfaces with other contractor's work.
CONTRACTOR is responsible for obtaining from other Contractors all
drawings and technical documentation necessary for the completion of the
Work. CONTRACTOR shall not be responsible for errors in such information
other than those that could have reasonably been identified through
checking.
All costs for liasing with COMPANY’s other Contractors shall be to
CONTRACTOR’s account.
- Interface of the Control System with the Umbilical, Umbilical SUTU and
jumpers (see section 4.4)
- COMPANY’s ROV Contractor, ROV tools and ROV access
- Interface with Xmas tree supplier in the event CONTRACTOR is
requested to provide the SMC for a Xmas tree supplied by a third party.
The documents listed in this section are the minimum standards which shall
govern the work. They are not exhaustive and shall by no means alleviate
CONTRACTOR of the responsibility to use sound judgement and accepted
oil industry practice if any requirements are not specifically addressed.
Contractor shall be aware of supplementary requirements mentioned in this
document.
The order of precedence for applicable codes, standards and regulations
shall be as follows, unless specified otherwise in the contract documents:
• Government regulations
• COMPANY’s specifications
• International standards and codes.
Should conflicting requirements be made by different documents the most
onerous shall be treated as the minimum requirement, unless formally
agreed by COMPANY to the contrary. In all cases COMPANY shall be
informed.
The codes, standards and regulations shall be the latest revision available
at the time of CONTRACT placement unless otherwise agreed, and
adoption of later revisions published during the course of the work shall only
be accepted after COMPANY approval.
If CONTRACTOR cannot comply, either in part or in whole, with any of the
following codes and standards he shall submit his reasons for the
exception(s) for COMPANY approval.

AS 4059 Cleanliness classification for hydraulic fluids.

3. FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENT
3.1 General
The typical Subsea X-Tree shall be equipped with the hydraulic valve
actuators operated with a LP hydraulic system (typically 207 barg
maximum).
The Downhole Surface Controlled Sub Surface Safety Valve (SCSSV) shall
be operated with a HP hydraulic pressure (typically 517 barg or 862 barg
maximum, depending on the Xmas Tree pressure rating)
The Subsea Control Modules (SCMs) - one per Tree - shall be
interchangeable and will control the following Subsea Tree, Manifold and
Downhole functions:
* Production Wing Valve (PWV)
* Production Master Valve (PMV)
* Crossover Valve (XOV)
* Annulus Wing Valve (AWV)
* Annulus Master Valve (AMV)
* Chemical Injection Valve (CIV)
* Wax Inhibitor Injection Valve (WIV)
* Production Choke Valve (PCV)
* Surface Controlled Sub Surface Safety Valve (SCSSV)
* Production Branch Manifold 4 1/16” Valve
* Test Branch Manifold 4 1/16” Valve
* Plus one of the following:
- 8” Header Valve (operated by 1 off SCM + Back-up SCM)
- Production Header to Service Header Branch Valve
- Test Header to Service Header Branch Valve
The SCM will retrieve the following subsea tree and manifold data:
On the Subsea Tree:
* Production Pressure
* Production Temperature
* Pressure downstream of the subsea choke valve
* Annulus Pressure
* Choke valve position

4.1 Cables from the Subsea Umbilical Termination Plate to the SCM
The interface cable harness between the Subsea Umbilical Termination
Plate (SUTP) and the SCM, fully tested, dual redundant wiring harness
incorporating two interface electrical connectors at each end. The
connectors at the SCM end of the jumper shall be wet mateable ROV
connectors mounted on the top of the SCM.
All subsea jumper cables terminated on the top of the SCM shall be
removable with the SCM in place.
Each jumper cable shall contain a combined power and signal pair. For
combined signal and power systems a two wire cable (without screen) per
jumper is acceptable.
The electrical cable shall be designed to minimise cross talk and other
interference.
Each electrical connector in the distribution system from the SUTP to the
SCM shall be capable of carrying the power supply and the communication
signal.
Each SCM shall contain two separate connectors, one connector will carry
the normal power and communications link, the second will carry the back-
up power and communications link. Redundant and active circuits shall not
be contained in the same connector housing.
The electrical rating of conductive connectors shall be not less than 600
Volts at 4 amperes.
The connection and disconnection of the electrical connectors will be carried
out with no power on the circuit.
The electrical connectors located on the SCMMB shall be able to withstand
long term exposure to sea water in subsea conditions unmated and with
power applied, without insulation loss.
SUPPLIER shall free-issue electrical connectors to the Umbilical Contractor
suitable for fitting to the umbilical "pigtails" and capable of mating with the
connectors in the SUTP.
All connectors shall be supplied complete with protective caps.
Test connectors and long term protective caps (ROV) shall be provided.

5. TESTING
5.1 General
5.2 Electrical
The following levels of electrical testing will be required, carried out in air:
- Continuity test at normal rated current
- Insulation resistance test of connector and cable prior to assembly
- Functional test and calibration upscale and downscale over full
operating range
- Over-range test in water, at operating hydrostatic pressure on the
completed assembly.
5.4 Thermal
The following level of thermal testing will be required:
7. SPARE PARTS
CONTRACTOR shall submit in his offer the spare parts list that shall include
all the technically recommended spare parts for the installation and
commissioning of all the equipment permanently installed or used for
installation purposes. The list shall also include the lead time for the spares .
