1. GENERAL

1.1 Scope

This specification defines the main design requirements, supply of material, installation
and test of electric and instrumentation plants included in package supplies.

These shall be considered as general requirements, while the technical definition of the
plant and relevant components shall be the Contractor’s responsibility.

The plants, object of this specification, which shall be defined in the relevant Data
Sheets, are mainly the followings:

• Power plant
• Lighting plant
• Earthing system
• Protection plant against the atmospheric discharges
• Ventilation and air conditioning plants
• Pressurization plant
• Fire, smoke and gas detection system
• Fire-fighting system
• Instrumentation plant

For all the aspects not covered by this specification, reference is made to the applicable
Normative references and to the project technical documentation, and in particular to:
• Technical Data Sheet (T.D.S)
• Inspection Data Sheet (I.D.S.)
• Requested Documentation Data Sheet (D.D.S.),

Any proposed alternative will be evaluated if its operative and performance validity, as
requested by this document, is demonstrated.

1.2 Applicability

This specification shall be considered as an integration of those aspects not covered by


the Project's Specification, where the competence limit, project data and particular
choices made are set out.

2. PROJECT GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

2.1 Design premises

The project will be executed in compliance with the document issued by the Company
and observing the Reference Laws and Rules in force in the country where the
equipments/materials will be installed.
General good practices in technical projects shall however be respected, particularly as
regards safety and accident prevention.

2.2 Reference Documents

2.2.1 Provisions of the law


The design, construction and testing of equipment and / or materials shall be in
accordance with the laws in force in the country where they are to be installed.

2.2.2 Normative references


All systems, equipment and materials shall be in accordance with regulations in force in
the country where they must be installed.
The rules applicable standards ENI are listed in the specification of Company:
- List of applicable standards to Company specifications 20235.DOC.ELE.ELN
Of that specific company, the Contract / Supplier will have to verify the validity of each
rule (latest edition available) and also will check for the issuance of new regulations
which follow.

2.3 Measurement units

The measurement units adopted will conform to the International System (I.S.).
For the cable conduits diameters and fittings in general, the measurement in "inch" may
be used.

2.4 Graphic symbols. Identification Codes and Logos

Graphic symbols, identification codes and logos will conform to the CEI EN rules, IEC
Standards, standards and procedures indicated in the Project's Specification.

3. PROJECT

3.1 General
The design is the entire responsibility of the Supplier who will respect the standard good
practice, the Company's requirements expressed in this specification, the Project
Specification, the reference rules and documents, the safety and functional requirements.

3.2 Design
3.2.1. General requirements

The Contractor shall carry out the design from the design premises by dimensioning the
plant and defining the type and the quantity of materials.

The supply limit for the electric plants shall be defined as the connection point to the local
panel/board (incomer terminal strip).

The supply limit for the instrumentation plants shall be defined as the connection point to
the local panel and/or to the junction boxes for control electric signals, and/or the air
distribution points for the pneumatic signals.

3.3 Environmental conditions


The plants and their components shall be suitable to the environmental conditions in the
installation site defined in the Projects Specification and relevant Data Sheet.

3.4 Electrica plant and voltage levels


If not otherwise indicated in the Data Sheet and when no technical requirement, relevant
to the sizing of equipment, cables, machinery and their casings, shall suggest a different
solution, the distribution of the electric power to the users of the package shall be through
circuits directly connected to a local distribution panel, fed by an external electric network.

3.4.1. Power supply at delivery point

If not otherwise specified in the Data Sheet, the voltage levels relating to electric energy
supply will be:
• 400V ±10%; 50 Hz ± 5% : three-phase and directly earthed neutral
• 110V : direct current
The symmetric short circuit current value will be defined time by time in the Project's
specification.

3.4.2. Distribution systems supply

If not otherwise specified in the Data Sheet, the voltage levels provided for the distribution
systems supply and the relevant electric uses will be:
• Power : 400V – 50 Hz - three-phase+neutral
• Normal light : 230V – 50 Hz - phase+neutral
• Safety light : 110V d.c.
• Motors higher than 1kW : 400V – 50 Hz - three-phase
• Motors lower than 1kW : 230V – 50 Hz - phase+neutral

• Three-pole+earth plugs : 400V – 50 Hz - three-phase


• Two-pole+earth plugs : 230V – 50 Hz - phase+neutral
The use of fuses is not accepted.

3.5 Voltage Variations


The electric system's components shall be selected so that maximum voltage variations,
at normal operating conditions, do not exceed the following values:
• Light circuits: ± 2%
• Power Circuits: ± 4%
The maximum voltage drop admitted at the asynchronous motor start shall not exceed
15%.

3.6 Distribution board


If not otherwise indicated in the project documents, a panel shall be provided for the
electric distribution, in two sections:
• lighting distribution panel;
• power distribution panel.
Three lines shall be connected to the lighting distribution panel. Their voltages, if not
otherwise indicated in the Data Sheet, shall be:
• 400/230 V - 50 Hz for the internal lighting system
• 230 V – 50 Hz controlled by photoelectric cell for the external lighting system
• 110 V - d.c. for the emergency lighting system.
It is advisable to use dischargers of overload in the lines entry.

If not otherwise indicated, the rooms normal internal lighting shall be controlled by a
control device located in the proximity of the entrance door.
The control circuit for the power supply to the outdoor lights (photoelectric cell) shall be
located in the lighting distribution panel.
The emergency lights shall be automatically activated lacking the normal lighting.
The relevant automatic commutation device shall be located in the distribution panel.
A single three phases plus neutral line shall feed the power distribution panel, which shall
distribute the electric power to sockets and other users placed in the cabin.

It shall be possible to section every circuit from power supply by means of proper circuit
breaker or section switch under load.
Protection devices against instrumentation and cables overcurrents shall be provided for
every circuit, as per normative references.

3.7 Lighting levels


If not otherwise indicated in the project documents, the minimum lighting levels indicated
in follow Company standard shall be provided:
- Lighting systems 20209.VAR.ELE.SDS
For rooms not considered in a.m. standard, occupied by personnel with special
requirements, the lighting levels will be defined in each case by comparison with the
values indicated or by reference to the rules of good practice.

3.8 Conteporaneity Coefficients


The contemporaneity coefficients for the determination of the conventional loading shall
be lower than the values indicated below:
• Light points :1
• Continuous Use Equipment : 0.8
• Plugs (n= number of plugs) : 1/n+0.1
• Conditioning :1
• Various centralised services (water, thermal, etc.) : 0.8

3.9 Hazardous areas classification


The explosion or fire hazard areas classification, which shall define the electric and
instrumentation equipment, the materials and the plants in the package and those on the
area boundaries, shall be defined by the Contractor in accordance with the normative
references and the requirements listed in the Data Sheet.

3.10 Safety execution


The safety execution of the electric and instrumentation plants shall be as required in the
normative references, in compliance with the hazardous areas classification and with the
requirements of the Data Sheet.

3.11 Protection degree


The protection degree of the enclosure shall be defined in accordance with the operative
environment and shall be as required in the normative references; if not otherwise
indicated, the protection degree shall be, at least:

The requirements for the protection degree shall be applied to plants in safe execution.

3.12 Earthing Systems


The earthing systems for the protection against indirect contacts and against lightning
shall be designed and sized in compliance with the CEI rules CEI 11-1, 64-8, CEI EN
60079-14, 81-10.

4. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

4.1 Conductors sizing


Sizing on the basis of normal operating currents shall be carried out considering the
following criteria:
• supply conductors of the single equipment will be sized for the standard capacity of
the equipment.
• supply conductors of more loads will be sized for the maximum capacity required
during standard operations, taking into account a contemporaneity coefficient of loads
as indicated in chapter 3.8.
Conductors shall be sized considering also the maximum voltage drops accepted
indicated in chapter 3.5 and the co-ordination of protections against overload and short
circuit currents as provided in rules.

4.2 Circuits Sectioning


Each circuit shall have supply sectioning systems with suitable switch or under load
disconnecting switch.

4.3 Circuit Protection


Each circuit will be provided with protection devices against overcurrents for equipment
and cables, according to rules.

4.4 Protection against direct and indirect contacts


All necessary measures shall be taken to protect persons against any dangers of contact
with the active parts of the electric plant. All accessible metallic parts of equipment,
switchboards and other parts of the electric plant not belonging to very low voltage safety
circuits, shall be protected against contact voltages. The protection will be executed by
earthing all accessible metallic parts and coordination of automatic switching devices as
indicated in the regulation for the plants of TT and/or TN type.

4.5 Earthing system


Each cabin will be equipped with an earthing system that will be connected to the general
system. An earthing main ring will be provided at the bottom of the cabin with copper plait
or bar, protected against oxidation and of a section not lower than 95 mm2.
The main ring will be connected to 4 earthing plates (BTH type), externally welded to the
skid.
All shunts shall be made of copper plait, insulated, with a 25 mm2 section.
The earthing protection will be integrated by differential earth devices. These devices
shall be installed on single circuits both for power distribution and for the light distribution.

4.6 Telephone plant (if required)


The plant shall comply with the Company's requirements. It shall include conduits, cable
trays, cables, internal sockets, call repeaters, boxes with terminal strips for the
connection to the external network, telephone sets and all what is necessary for a
workmanlike execution.
Every telephone socket shall be individually connected to the main box by a single
1x2x0.6+T cable.

Standard series civil wall or desk type telephone sets with decadic keyboard and earthing
key, equipped with a three poles standardised plug, shall be utilised.

4.7 Electric plant in battery rooms (if necessary)


Unless otherwise stated in specifications and design data sheets shall be complied with
instructions given in the Company standard:
- 20222.BLD.ELE.SDS Electrical, telephone and safety systems in cabins

4.8 Instrumentation plant

4.8.1 General
The instrumentation plant is extended to the monitoring, control and regulation equipment
included in the supply, and the relevant process, electric and/or pneumatic connections.
The package's control instrumentation shall be indicated in the relevant P&ID.
The instrumentation type, electronic or pneumatic, and the type of signals to be utilised,
shall be defined in the project documentation and shall comply with the normative
references.
The following requirements apply, if not otherwise indicated:
a) Local control systems
They shall be of the pneumatic type, through the utilisation of self-regulating valves.
b) Remote control systems
They shall be of the electronic type. Transmitters, complete with the relevant
transducers for the control of the final parameters, both of the two wires type, shall
be utilised. The signal shall be 4 ÷ 20 mA.
All the pneumatic instrumentation shall be suitable to operate with instrument air or
treated natural gas, as indicated in the Data Sheet.

4.8.2 Equipment definition


The selection of equipment for packages shall be done by the Contractor on the basis of
the function of each instrument and of the specific requirements in the individual Data
Sheet.
If not otherwise indicated, the following requirements apply:
• The valves shall be sized in conformity with ANSI/ISA.
• The solenoid valves shall operate "normally energised". If they are accidentally de-
energised, the plant shall be brought to safe conditions.
• The safety valves shall be sized in accordance with the ISPESL requirements and
publications, or with the installation site legislation.

4.8.3 Control logic


If not otherwise indicated, the control of the package shall be provided by a logic included
in a single local panel completely segregated from the electric power distribution.

4.9 Ventilation and air conditioning (if necessary)


Unless otherwise stated in specifications and design data sheets shall be complied with
instructions given in the Company standard:
- 20221.PKG.GEN.SDS auxiliary plants in prefabricated cabins for electric
machinery and equipment

4.10 Fire detection and Fire-Fighting System (if required)


Unless otherwise stated in specifications and design data sheets shall be complied with
instructions given in the Company standard:
- 20221.PKG.GEN.SDS auxiliary plants in prefabricated cabins for electric
machinery and equipment

5. MATERIALS

5.1 Selection Criteria


Materials and equipment will be selected on the basis of the individual characteristics of
each component, considering the place of installation and the climatic conditions show in
the Data Sheet and in accordance with the normative references.

5.2 Local distribution panels


The local distribution panels for the electric supply to the power circuits and to the lighting
systems inside the buildings shall comply with EN 60439-1.
The panel shall be fabricated with internal sections obtained by barriers or diaphragms in
accordance with the normative references. Its sectioning form shall be indicated in the
Data Sheet. If not otherwise indicated, the panel shall be at least Form 2 segregated.

The enclosure shall be in the material indicated in the Data Sheet and in conformity with
the protection degree and safety execution requirements.

If required, they shall be sized to accommodate both the isolation, protection and control
equipment of the electric distribution and the operating, control and shut down logic of the
package.
Proper measures shall be taken to segregate the electric equipment from the
instrumentation ones.
Suitable electric or instrumentation terminal strips shall be provided for the external
connections. They shall be physically separated, or isolated by plates with relevant
glands for pneumatic signals
The interconnections or the entering power supplies shall be provided as indicated in the
Data Sheet, and in accordance with the safety requirements of the normative references.

5.3 Junction and Connection Boxes, Control, Protection and Signal Boxes
These will be chosen in relation to the number and type of conductors, the equipment
they will contain and their use. They will have a protection level not lower than "IP23" for
indoors and “IP55” for outdoors, unless otherwise specified. They will be made of
incombustible material.

5.4 Terminal Strips


Terminals will conform to the reference rules and, in particular, they will allow for
disconnection and further re-connection of the conductors without damaging them.

5.5 Electric equipment

The electric and construction characteristics of power equipment shall be in accordance


with the Data Sheet and with reference normative.

5.5.1 Main circuits


If not otherwise indicated, the electric equipment for the main circuit shall have a nominal
isolation voltage at least equal to the panel's one, and a breaking power larger than the
maximum value allowable for the short circuit current.
If not otherwise indicated, the maximum overtemperatures shall be in accordance with
EN 60439-1.

a) Circuit breakers
The circuit breakers shall comply with EN 60947-2.
If not otherwise indicated in the Data Sheet, they shall be provided with a service
interruption power (Ics) larger than the maximum allowable value for the expected short
circuit current.

b) Contactors
The contactors shall be in accordance with EN 60947-4-1.

c) Protection relays
The protection relays shall comply with IEC 255 and the Data Sheet requirements. The
relays integrated with the circuit breakers shall comply with the circuit breakers
normative references.

d) Current and voltage transformers (CT , VT)


The current transformers (CT) shall comply with CEI EN 60044-1. The voltage
transformers (VT) shall comply with CEI EN 60044-2.
They shall both have a nominal insulation voltage (Ui) and an operating nominal voltage
(Ue) equal to the panel's ones. The transformers shall be of the boxed type with air or
resin insulation.

e) Motor-starters
The motor-starters, that is all the start, stop and overload protection devices, made up
by contactors and direct thermal relays, shall comply with EN 60947-4-1.
If not otherwise specified, a local control shall be provided for all the motor-starters and
wherever required, together with signals, shut downs and remote controls.
The protection direct devices shall be provided with a manual reset.

If not otherwise indicated, the protection against the short circuits shall be provided by
circuit-breakers co-ordinated with the motor-starters, such that type "2" co-ordinations
shall be obtained, in compliance with EN 60947-4-1.

The circuit breakers provided for the co-ordination with the motor-starters shall belong
to the "A" category, as per EN 60947-2.
The utilisation categories for the motor-starters shall comply with EN 60947-4-1:
• AC-3 for cage rotor motors in CONTINUOUS, DISCONTINUOUS service, etc.
• AC-4 for cage rotor motors in INTERMITTENT service.

When required by the Company, the co-ordination of the motor-starters for electric
motors shall be indicated in the Data Sheet and in the relevant Tables.

f) Fuses
The utilisation of fuses for the protection of circuits is not accepted.

5.5.2 Auxiliary circuits


All the auxiliary equipment shall comply with EN 60947-5. They shall be suitable for a
continuous service and for the following service categories:
• a.c. : AC-14 or AC-15
• d.c. : DC-13 or DC-14
The auxiliary equipment shall have a nominal insulation voltage not lower than the one of
the system to which they belong. Equipment directly connected to the power electric
system shall have a nominal insulation voltage not lower than the panel's one.
If not otherwise indicated in the Data Sheet, the following minimum characteristics shall
be guaranteed:
• Nominal service current (Ie) : 5 A at 230 V a.c. ; 1 A at 110 V d.c.
• Reference load service : 120 cycles / hour (for each relay)
• Mechanical duration class : 1 (million of manoeuvre cycles)

a) Auxiliary relays
The auxiliary relays shall comply with CEI EN 61810 and the requirements of the Data
Sheet.
They shall be provided with auxiliary contacts to obtain the foreseen schemes, and with
additional 1NO + 1NC free contacts.
The shut down relays (86) shall be for a continuous service with manual reset and the
shut down position clearly indicated.

b) Push buttons and selector switches


The push buttons, when required, shall be positioned and coloured in accordance with
their specific function, as per EN 60073.

c) Signalling lamps
If not otherwise indicated in the Data Sheet, the colours shall comply with EN 60073.
Incandescent lamps shall be used, with a drop resistance in series.
Other lamps types or LEDS can be utilised, if specifically approved in advance.

5.5.3 Motors
The electric motors shall be in conformity with the requirements of the relevant Data
Sheet attached to the supply specification of the package.

5.5.4 Lighting fixtures


Normal, emergency and safety lighting fixtures shall comply with the applicable
requirements and Company standards; with particular reference to:
- Lighting systems 20209.VAR.ELE.SDS

5.5.5 Sockets
Sockets will conform to the types required and/or approved by the Client. On the walls,
fixed sockets will not be installed at a height from the floor lower than 300 mm (measured
from the middle of the sockets). Sockets intended for supply to equipment that, due to
their capacity or special characteristics, may cause danger during insertion or disinsertion
of plugs, and all standard current sockets higher than 16A will be provided with an
interruption element before the sockets, to allow for these operations in open circuit.

5.6 Instrumentation
If not otherwise indicated in the individual Data Sheets, the following minimum
requirements shall apply to the instruments included in the package:
• casings for pressure and temperature gauges in AISI 316 L;
• internal parts of instruments, inclusive of screws, bolts and nuts, in AISI 316 L, even if
not in contact with the process fluid;
• thermowells in AISI 316 L;
• manifolds in AISI 316 L, unless otherwise required by the process fluid;
• process connections threaded as per ANSI B.20.1 NPT or flanged as per ANSI B
16.5.
• pneumatic connections threaded 1/2" or 1/4" as per ANSI B.20.1 NPT.
• electric connections threaded as per UNI 6125 or ANSI B.20.1 NPT.

5.7 Cables
If not otherwise indicated in project documentation shall observe the instructions given in
the Company standards:
- Power and control electric cables 20169.EQP.ELE.FUN
- Electrical power system 20208.VAR.ELE.SDS

5.8 Accessories

5.8.1 Assembly materials


All accessories, enclosures, junction boxes, cable trays, conduits, etc., provided for the
complete assembly of electric, instrumentation and earthing plants, shall comply with the
internal normative references listed in the Data Sheets.

5.8.2 Nameplates
All the main equipment and instruments shall be provided by the Manufacturer with a
stainless steel nameplate, with the indication of he fabrication data and the model.
Another nameplate, tied to the instruments by a stainless steel wire, shall indicate the
instrument tag in accordance with the P&I D of the package.

6. INSTALLATION CRITERIA

6.1 Process connections


The installation of instrumentation shall comply with API-RP-500.
All the process connected instruments shall be provided with a on-off valve.
On the instrument's side a 2 valves manifold for the pressure measurement and a 3
valves manifold for the differential measures shall be provided.
The primary connections shall be normally obtained by means of tubing having 10mm
external diameter and thickness in accordance with the process pressure and the
corrosion (if any), and compression fittings. Tubing and fittings shall both be in AISI 316 L
stainless steel, if not otherwise required by the process fluid.
process connection tubing shall have a 15% minimum slope towards the instruments, if
this last is installed below the process intake, or towards the process, when the
instrument is installed above the intake.

6.2 Electric connections


The laying of conduits shall comply with the requirements of the project documentation
and of the normative references. The following configurations shall be utilised:
• single conductors laid in conduit and connected to the relevant equipment by proper
fittings (3 pieces fittings, locking fittings, etc.).
• armoured cables fixed directly to the package's structure.
• armoured or non armoured cables in conduits, connected to the relevant equipment
by means of proper cable glands.
• armoured or non armoured cables in cable trays, connected to the relevant equipment
by means of proper cable glands.
The plants in explosion or fire hazard areas shall be in the required safe execution.
Suitable materials shall be utilised, in conformity with the normative references and the
hazardous areas classification.

The internal diameter of the conduits shall be at least 1,3 times the diameter of the
circumscribed circle to the cables bundle or 15mm, whatever is the maximum.
The inlet and the arrangement of power circuits in the enclosures shall be such that no
hazardous heating of the metallic parts will occur.
Cables with not compatible electric signals shall not be installed in the same conduit or
cable trays.
All the connections over the supply limits shall terminate on a proper interface terminal
strip or in a junction box.

6.3 Earthing connections


All the metallic masses and the normally not energised items shall be connected to earth
collectors by unipotential connections provided by yellow-green PVC insulated protection
conductors.
The earth collectors shall be provided by drilled metallic plates, located at regular
intervals around the package, and connected each other by a protection conductor.
A ring shaped earth system, provided by a bare wire buried at a depth of 0.5 m at least,
and integrated with rod electrodes (if required), shall be installed all around the building.
All the earth collectors at the package's edges shall be connected to this ring system by
earth conductors.
All the protection conductors shall be provided by compression terminations. The
junctions among the buried system and the earth conductors shall be provided by
compression connectors.

6.4 Pneumatic connections


When necessary, the distribution of the instrument air shall be provided by galvanised
seamless tubing.
Suitable anti-condense valves shall be installed in the instrument air distribution system.
All the pneumatic instruments shall be individually sectionable. The relevant on-off valves
shall be located as close as possible to the instrument.
The pneumatic connections shall be mechanically protected by steel bars or trays.
All the connections with equipment outside the supply limits shall terminate on a proper
interface plate complete of glands, installed inside a protection box.
Junctions on tubing long less than 5m shall not be accepted. Any junction shall be
obtained by means of compression fittings installed in accessible locations.

7. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

7.1 Ergonomics

7.1.1 Accessibility
The access to the equipment during any activity (assembly, maintenance, operations)
shall comply with the requirements of the normative references and the ergonomics ones.

7.1.2 Soundproofing
When required, the soundproofing shall be provided by acoustic insulation material, in
compliance with the normative references and with the sound pressure values indicated
in the Data Sheets.

7.2 Protective treatments

7.2.1 Painting and galvanising


The used materials, the preparation of the surfaces and the application procedures shall
comply with the Company specification 20000.VAR.PAI.FUN and the requirements of the
Data Sheets.

7.2.2 Tropicalization
When required in the Data Sheet, equipment and materials shall be subjected to
tropicalization treatments in conformity with the relevant specification.

7.3 Spare parts

7.3.1 Spare parts for the start-up


The Contractor shall suggest the spare parts for the start-up, on the basis of his
experience and of the used materials and components.

7.3.2 Spare parts for maintenance during operations


The Contractor shall supply a list of spare parts for the operations period defined in the
project documentation, complete with the suggested quantity for each type.
When required, the list shall be supplied on Company's forms.
The spare parts shall be equal to the installed components, and packed for a long
preservation.

8. SAFETY

8.1 General requirements


The Contractor shall guarantee that the plants supplied in conformity with this
specification shall be fabricated workmanlike to comply with the safety requirements of
the normative references.

8.2 Protection against direct contacts


The active parts of the electric circuits shall be located and protected in conformity with
the requirements of the normative references, so that trained and authorised personnel
can carry out the following operations, while the plants are energised, without any danger
of direct contacts:
- visual inspection of the manoeuvre equipment
- adjustment and reset of relays and switches, and inspection of signalling devices
and instruments
- replacement of auxiliary fuses, lamps, etc..
- voltage and current measurements and fault detection, obtained by means of
dedicated properly insulated instruments
- connection of entering cables
- removal of the components from any de-energised circuit, for maintenance
purposes.

8.3 Protection against indirect contacts


The protection shall be provided by a protection circuit connected to the earthing plant, in
conformity with the neutral system indicated in the Data Sheet and the CEI EN 600439
and CEI EN 64-8.
As a consequence of the above, a protection bar (PE) shall be installed in all the panels.
If the panels have a complete insulation, the protection bar (PE) shall provide the
connection of the protection cables and the cables armours from outside the panel. It
shall remain insulated from the active items and the masses.
The electric protections shall be co-ordinated so that the timely interruption of the fault
current shall be guaranteed should the contact voltage assume hazardous values, larger
than those indicated in the normative references.
The earthing protection shall be integrated by earthing differential devices.
These devices shall be installed on each single circuit both for the power and the lighting
distribution.

8.4 Fire resistance


The characteristics of the materials shall be such that they shall not ignite, burn, retain
the combustion or emit flammable vapours, when subjected to fire or heating.
The requirements for self-extinguishing characteristics shall be guaranteed specially for
the plastic materials, in accordance with reference normative.

9. REQUIREMENTS FOR QUALITY MANAGEMENT AND ASSURANCE

Requirements for Quality Management or Quality Assurance, where appropriate, are


contained in the Specification enclosed to the Tender documents.

10. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR REVIEW

When required, they will be indicated in the Inspection Data Sheet (I.D.S.) and are
classified as:
- tests on materials and equipments;
- tests on plant;
The procedures for those inspections and tests which are not specified in the normative
references and this specification, but required in the Inspection Data Sheet (I.D.S.), shall
be defined on a case by case basis.

10.1 Tests on materials


Materials shall be subjected to the tests indicated in the normative references and to
those indicated in the Inspection Data Sheet (if any).
Safety execution materials, as EEx-d, EEx-i, EEx-e, shall be provided with certificates
relevant to the Type tests, released by recognised laboratories.
Safety execution materials provided with test certificates relevant to Rules different from
the normative references shall be brought to the attention of the Company during the
tender phase.
Materials having a safety execution not complying with any Rules shall not be accepted.

10.2 Tests on plants


The inspections and tests on the electric and instrumentation plants, object of this
specification, shall comply with the requirements of the Inspection data Sheet (I.D.S.).

11. DOCUMENTATION

The Contractor shall provide the Company with all the documentation listed in the
required Documentation data Sheet (D.D.S.) in compliance with the stated procedures
and schedule.
The technical documentation shall be in the official language indicated in the Data Sheet.
The symbols specified in the normative references shall be utilized.

11.1 Documentation with the tender


All the information and the documentation required in the required Documentation Data
Sheet (R.D.D.S.) shall be attached to the Contractor's tender.

11.2 Documentation for approval


The approval given by the Company to the documentation, if necessary, shall be relevant
only to the formal review of the parameters indicated in the project documents.

11.3 Documentation to be used by the Company for the plant design


The Contractor shall supply to the Company all the documentation necessary for the
execution of the plant design and for the installation of the cabins, object of the supply.

11.4 Test Documentation


The Contractor shall supply to the Company all the certification relevant to the type,
acceptance and special tests, in conformity with the procedures and the schedule
indicated in the Data Sheet.

11.5 Final technical documentation


The final documentation, with the exception of catalogues and publications provided by
the Contractor and sub-Contractors (if any), shall include the following data:
- name of the Contractor
- name of the Company
- identification tag, defined by the Company
- title of the document
- reference to the Company's order.
The documentation shall be subdivided as follows:
a) Design and installation instructions
b) Operative instructions
c) Maintenance instructions
The inclusion of the description and the drawings in catalogues or publications provided
by the Contractor will be accepted, provided that:
- the catalogues (or publications) shall contain all the data and the requested
information in their final form;
- the catalogues (or publications) shall be relevant to the supplied types and the
materials, object of the supply, are clearly identified among those shown in the
document.
The documentation submitted to the Company's approval shall be included in the final
documentation, in the revision approved by the Company.
