9) METHOD OF EXECUTION

1. Scope:
The scope of works under this WMS applies to connection line between test separator and close drain
on the platform.

2. Purpose:
The purpose of this WMS for connection line between test separator and close drain is to ensure that
the work activities such as material handling, equipment installation and test & inspection shall be
carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with the project requirements.

3. References :
Client specifications and applicable standards .

4. Responsibilities:
Project Manager:
The project Manager will be responsible for the overall project coordination and be the principal focal
point of Contract for CONTRACTOR on a day-to-day basis with COMPANY. Key tasks and
responsibilities throughout the project will include:

Project Control Engineer:


Project Control Engineer is responsible for Project Monitoring and Controlling Process, and it
includes but not limited to:
 Monitor and Control Project Work with regards to Management Plans
 Control & Validate the Scope
 Schedule Control
 Quality Control
 Document Control

Procurement Engineer:
The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for the management of all procurement activities, and
this includes:
 Procurement Management Plan Application
 Managing and Controlling Tendering Process
 Managing Procurement Negotiations and Contracts
 Manage Freight Forwarding and Customs Clearing

Construction Engineer / Site Supervisor:


The Construction Engineer is responsible for managing the execution of all fabrication and
installation work including Piping, Structural and Mechanical of the project.
The Construction Engineer will also coordinate with COMPANY’s Site Representatives. He will
ensure that all Construction activities will be completed in time and quality in accordance with the
agreed Project Specifications.

Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer:


The Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for Customer interface and the ability to
develop of the following: scopes of work, engineer fees, design criteria packages, power distribution
plans, arc flash studies, electrical equipment sizing, grounding plans, lighting plans of the project.

QA/QC Engineer :

The QA/QC Engineer will manage the implementation of the Quality Control procedures related to
the construction work, and will assure the coordination with the Construction team in matters related
to Quality Control, Inspection, and Testing at site.
The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for the management of the Quality Control Records and the
Project Quality Book compilation at the end of the Execution Phase of the Project.

HSSE Supervisor:
The HSSE Supervisor will establish the Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Plan and
Procedures for the Project based on CONTRACTOR’s HSSE manual, Legal Obligations and
COMPANY’s requirements in terms of HSSE.
The HSSE Supervisor will be responsible for the HSSE Communication, Monitoring, Control and
Reporting all the way through the Project Execution.

7. Quality Control and Assurance:


Inspection shall be conducted and recorded in accordance with the Job Specification Inspection and
Test Plan.
8. Safety Instructions and Precautions:
• Make sure that all necessary work permits are issued.
• Check all lifting equipment prior to commencing lifting activities.
• Stay away from any suspended load/falling objects.
• Wear full body harness when working at elevated platform.
• Install safety nets when necessary.
• Ensure that barricades and warning signs are properly installed.
• Ensure that there are no hazardous or combustible gases present in the work area.
• Install flashing lights to traffic.
• Copy of approved JSA to be maintained at work site by Work Supervisor.
• Conduct daily Tool Box Talk and discuss work methodology prior to commencement of work.
• Implement and monitor safety instruction on site.

9. Method of Execution:
9.1 Project Initiation:
Site survey to verify and to endorse the deliverables of the engineering package.
Gather all project requirements and specifications.
Assemble project team, including engineers, technicians, and project managers.

9.2 Design and Engineering:


Create detailed design plans for the piping system, including material specifications and layout.
Develop wiring diagrams as part of the construction deliverables.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

9.3 Procurement:

The necessary materials and components for the piping Supports.
Providing all necessary fittings, supports, and mounting accessories for the field connections.
Supplying SS pneumatic tubes for Connection of instrument air.
Coordinate with suppliers and manage the procurement process.

9.4 Workshop Fabrication


Transportation of company supplied material to workshop.
Prefabricated and painted piping spools in a controlled workshop environment.
Prefabricated pipe supports, site fitted pipe supports.
Hydrotest .
Conduct quality control inspections during fabrication.

9.5 Welding inspection


As part of the Thorough Examination, non-destructive test may be carried out on the equipment
(usually on welded sections or components).
Non-Destructive Test can be of different types: Visual Inspection, Magnetic Particle Inspection
(MPI), Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI), Ultrasonic Testing (UT) or Radiography Testing (RT).
For safety reasons, NDT are to be performed on a systematic basis prior and after a Proof Load Test
in order to confirm that load test didn’t give raise to cracks or deformations that would affect the safe
use of the equipment.

9.6 Storage, Handling and Preservation


Ensure that equipment and materials to be transported to the work area from the warehouse/lay down
area is in accordance with the project specifications and contract requirements.

9.7 Pre-Installation
– Cleaning of piping materials
– Review construction drawings by identifying the following requirements:
Arrangement of lifting, hoisting and construction equipment during lift.
– Once the foundation preparation has been completed, equipment installation commences. Ensure
that lifting and rigging shall be done with job specification and approved Method Statement
respectively.

9.8 Piping Installation


– Piping Connection and Final Alignment:
• Upon completion and acceptance of grouting works by Company, piping connections and final
alignment commence. Ensure that the connections and alignment shall be carried out in accordance
with job specifications.
• Upon completion of preliminary piping alignment and fit-up to equipment, welders can start
welding activities following a qualified welding procedure.
• Prior to final checking of piping alignment to the equipment, listed below are relevant piping works
to be checked and verified:
– Installation of permanent supports
– Removal of temporary supports and hangers

– Removal of test blinds and major field welds are completed, as pressure test blinds and field welds
can result in changes in piping-to-machinery alignment.
– Check and verify that the inlet and outlet piping is properly constructed in accordance with the
latest drawing. Verification shall include gasket size and material, size and length of flange, bolts,
studs and nuts.
• Upon completion of inspection and acceptance by Company, conduct housekeeping properly.

9.9 Instrumentation Installation


– Establishing the required field wiring connections, cable terminations, and identifications as
specified between the instruments and designated junction boxes.
– Connection of instrument air.

9.10 Pre-Commisionning and Commissioning


– Cleanliness of all piping components.
– Carrying out proper functioning tests, pre-commissioning/commissioning, and meeting start-up
requirements.
