    Nowadays, Colombia represents 10% of the total loss of biodiversity on Earth. The country is

    known worldwide for its diversity of unique fauna that includes 595 species in danger of extinction, an

    extinction crisis that involves mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and other groups, this puts

    Colombian nature at risk since the animal kingdom is losing species every month. Humans have taken

    on the role of predator since we began hunting game species for food in South America long ago

    Colombian scientists estimate that three-quarters of Colombian animals are today in danger due to

    human interference. Most of them face the danger of extinction.

    Our consumption of meat has led some animal species to evolve in ways that allow them to escape detection by

    humans. Hunting has become too important for humans, and this has resulted in the disappearance of large

    populations of deer and guinea pigs due to human encroachment on their habitats. This causes clashes between

    animals and humans that cause losses on both sides, the disoriented animals become stressed by the human

    presence and causing them to enter cities and towns close to their natural habitats.

    Many species of plant life have disappeared in recent decades because farmers do not need forests but

    grasslands on farms or commercial plantations. Besides, we see the main responsible factors for the extinction

    of plant and animal species: habitat destruction, pollution, hunting, climate change, land speculation,

    urbanization, overexploitation, global warming, and invasive species; As an example invasive species in

    Colombia we have the lionfish. What do the lionfish do to make it so dangerous for our ecosystem?: Starting

    with the fact that the females lay 30,000 eggs every 4 days, which makes the population of these fish grow

    alarmingly, adding that this fish is poisonous therefore it does not have natural predators, but you wonder, if it

    does not have predators it means that in its place of origin it would also be wreaking havoc, but because this

    animal is a cannibal among themselves, they controlled each other, but even so they spread by leaps and

    bounds, that is not enough but these animals hunt other species displacing and extinguishing them as their

    population increases

    Colombia has some amazing species of plants and flowers. Some species are becoming extinct, and we do not

    want this to happen. We need to protect them for future generations. Most birds die from the bird flu virus.
    Some extinct animals include the giant sloth, the monkey, and the jaguar. One of the greatest risks is bees,

    which if they were to become extinct, all bee products would disappear, and several species which they

    pollinate would also die.

    Conclusion: human beings are the main cause of the extinction of animals, and we need to stop in time,

    otherwise there will be no more possibilities for future generations. That is why we must educate from early

    childhood, creating in children a sense of belonging to our natural resources, teaching them to preserve them,

    caring for and preserving the ecosystems in which animals can thrive as well as helping to protect the different

    species. that are affected in our country
