ACTIVITY 3

Write a paragraph about your personal experience on how technology has influenced your life as a
learner from elementary, high school, and college.

How technology influenced my life as a learner

In elementary, I don't have my own cellphone yet, but my older sisters have and that's a great help for
me when I need to search about something. In high school, technology played a crucial role in
collaborating with classmates on group projects, conducting research, and submitting assignments
electronically. Online platforms and educational websites provided a wealth of resources and
information to supplement classroom learning. Additionally, the use of digital tools such as smartphones
and tablets allowed for greater flexibility in accessing learning materials both inside and outside the
classroom. In college, technology continued to shape my learning experience. Online learning platforms
facilitated remote and asynchronous learning, providing access to educational resources and enabling
interaction with professors and peers despite physical distance. Collaboration tools, video conferencing,
and online libraries expanded the avenues for communication and research. As a learner, technology
has revolutionized the way I acquire knowledge, enhanced my learning opportunities, and equipped me
with indispensable skills for the digital age.

How will I use technology when I become a teacher

As a teacher in the future, I can make use of technology in various ways to enhance my teaching and
engage students in a more interactive and meaningful learning experience. Here are some ways I can
utilize technology:

•Multimedia presentations: Use tools like PowerPoint, or Google Slides to create visually appealing
presentations that incorporate images, videos, and animations to explain complex concepts or make
lessons more engaging.

•Online resources and platforms: Explore educational websites, online libraries, and instructional videos
that offer supplementary materials and resources to support my teaching.

•Learning management systems: Make use of learning management systems (LMS) like Moodle, Canvas,
or Google Classroom to create a virtual classroom environment.

•Collaboration and communication tools: Utilize platforms like Google Drive, •Microsoft Office 365 to
facilitate collaborative work among students. They can create and edit documents, presentations, or
spreadsheets together, even when not physically present in the classroom.

•Online assessments and feedback: Implement online assessment tool like Google Forms to create
interactive quizzes, tests, or surveys. These tools can provide immediate feedback to students and help
you assess their progress.
•Technology should always complement your teaching methods and serve as a tool to enhance learning.
It’s essential to choose and integrate technology thoughtfully, aligning it with your teaching goals and
the needs of your students.
