#PTE

1) Read aloud:
It is one of the most important questions in this module. You'll get 7 read aloud paragraphs.
It contributes heavily in your speaking and reading scores. Just keep in mind these few tips: speak in a
flow; take natural pauses; don't correct yourself; try not to fumble; and keep in mind that fluency is the
king in speaking module.
2) Repeat sentence:
Also very important and contributes heavily in your speaking and listening scores. You'll listen a sentence
and then you'll have to repeat it. Again, fluency is the king. Repeat as much as you can but repeat it
confidently and in a fluent manner.
3) Describe image:
Not that much important. Templates are available. Find one and add the keywords from the image and
you'll be okay. I modified language academy template for this question.
4) Retell lecture:
Not that important. Templates are available on Internet
5) One-word answer:
Not much important.
95% of Your speaking score will come from read aloud, repeat sentence, and describe image
6) Writing Essay:
Templates are available. Use one from any reliable platform (apeuni or language academy etc etc.) I
modified LA template myself. It's a very important question. You'll have one essay in the exam. Use
template and add relevant information in the it. Do proof read at the end. Make it error free. You'll score
full.
7) Summarise written text:
In this question you've to summarize a whole paragraph in one sentence.
a very important question but the easiest one. Just use template (apeuni, LA or any other) and add chunka
from original paragraph intelligently to write the summary. No need to even read the whole passage if
you get the hang of things. Add suitable connectors to connect different phrases (and, whereas, however,
moreover, etc.)
Reading
There's no template for reading module. It's the real exam of your English.
Fill in blank (ready, and reading and writing)
The most important questions. They'll will singlehandedly decide your reading and writing scores.
Practice them a lot. Sharpen your grammar. You'll be fine.
8) Reorder paragraph:
You'll get 4,5 sentences and you've arrange them to make a perfect paragraph. It's a bit hard nut to crack.
Practice them well. Your understanding of the language will help you here.
9) MCQs
Not much important. DON'T waste your time here, because if you waste your time here you won't have
much time left for your fill in the blanks, which is the most important question in reading.
10) Summarise Spoken test:
You'll hear a lecture and you've to write its summary. Write maximum keywords when you're listening to
the lecture. Two approaches to solve this question: either use template and just add the keywords or make
your own sentences, if you can, using those keywords and the overall context of the lecture. Use
connectos to make it a paragraph.
11) MCQs:
Not much important. DON'T waste your time here because the most important question of PTE will come
at the end, the goldmine of marks.
12) Highlight incorrect words:
You've a paragraph and you'll listen to an audio of the same paragraph. Find the incorrect words in the
text by listening to the audio, and be vigilant, otherwise, you'll be left behind the audio, because the
speaker won't stop. You just have to click on the incorrect word. It's an important question.
13) Fill in the blank, listening:
you'll hear an audio and there'll be a text with missing words. Listen to the audio and write missing words
in blank spaces. Again, be vigilant. Write first 2,3 spellings of the word and in the end complete them.
Just Don't be left behind the speaker.
14) Write from dictation:
Probably the most important question of PTE, also the last one. You'll hear a sentence and then you
have to write it as it is. It contributes massively in writing and listening scores. One mistake will deduct
one mark. Just shut you eyes, take a deep breath, listen to the audio, and turn repeat it in your mind. And
then write it. Also, do proof read. Don't make spelling mistakes in your written text anywhere.

WRITING ESSAY
1)
“Topic “has become an integral part of the debate in the present world. while proponents of the
arguments are in favour, however the opponents are completely against the relevance of the “topic “. In
my opinion, (topic, keywords) has more positive impacts than the negatives around the globe.
To commence with, there are a number of arguments in favour of my belief. The most prominent one is
that the (positive opinion /advantage). According to the research conducted by western Sydney
university, (example), secondly, (advantage / opinion).
On the other hand, critics may point out that one of the most significant disadvantages of the
(topic/keyword) is that (disadvantage 1 / negative opinion). For instance, a survey conducted by United
states reveals that (example2).
To conclude, even when there are a lot of demerits associated with the (topic), the advantages outweigh
the disadvantages, and the (topic) has become a crucial part of our life. Therefore, efficient use of “topic
“should be promoted, however, its misuse should be condemned.
2)
These days, the importance of --------------- is one of the serious issues that has been discussed all over the
world. There is a widespread belief among people that this issue is a popular subject of debate. I shall
discuss how different issues lead to different outcomes.
To begin with, the association of --------------- with several other aspects of today's world has become
critical. The discussion related to signifying the value of this topic has indeed attracted the attention of
millions of people around the world. Needless to say, we should not entirely ignore the impacts of
----------.
Another pivotal aspect of my point of view is that we should understand the potential of ------------ in
today's world. We should also consider that -------------- can have both advantages and disadvantages.
Furthermore, we should address the questions and concerns raised by this topic by taking proper steps and
measures. Hence, it is clear from the arguments that we can establish a proper relation between
------------------------and other similar topics.
Finally, after taking the aforementioned points into consideration from my personal perspective, I am
inclined to believe that the influence of ---------------- is a remarkable subject of discussion. Therefore,
efficient use of ------------- should be promoted. However, misuse of --------------- should be condemned.
