FLARE

JEANS
Flare jeans! An iconic fashion trend from the 70s. The
pants were commonly made of denim, cotton, and satin
polyester. The material would stay tighter at the top and
looser at the bottom which makes the flare.

The 70s fashion was big on vibrant colours and cool patterns,
patterned shirts, pants, dresses. The flare pants were also
patterned from time to time adding more of an eye-catching
element to the outfit, although you wouldn’t find people
wearing pattern on pattern unless it was a matching pattern
between two pieces.

These days they aren’t quite as popular as the

70s. Fashion designers have come up with new
styles of the flare pants leading to even bigger
flares and layered flares, to name a few but the
original 70s style continues to stay along with
lots of the other 70s fashion trends. 70s fashion
has and always will continue to inspire stylists
and designers.
